Traded Volumes At Rs 527.95 Crore

NSE REPORT

The debt segment at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw trades worth Rs 527.95 crore yesterday.

Overnight money was available at 0.1 per cent for most of the day . Calls opened at 0.25 per cent and closed lower at 0.1 per cent yesterday.The government securities market saw activity in the medium and short maturity securities. Among those which drew interest were the 12.14 per cent government loan maturing in 2000.

It was traded for Rs 40 crore at 11.92 per cent yield and the 13.7 per cent government loan maturing in 1999 at 11.28 per cent yield.

 

Treasury bills traded for Rs 80 crore, of which the 364-day T-bills maturing in April 98 dealt for Rs 75 crore at 9.08 per cent yield .

There were a couple of repo deals done yesterday for a period of 14 days for a total amount of Rs 20 crore in the 12.14 per cent and the 13.05 per cent government loans maturing in 2000 and 2007 respectively. The rates in these deals were in the range of 5.25 per cent to 5.5 per cent.The certificate of deposit of

ICICI maturing in April 98 changed hands for Rs 10 crore at 11.10 per cent yield.

The corporate debentures segment saw dull trading of Rs 42.57 lakh.
