Turnover Dips To Rs 85.61 Cr

The turnover, which touched Rs 131 crore on Saturday, the first day of the fortnight, fell to Rs 85.61 crore as banks stayed away from striking big deals.

The 13.50-per cent central government security maturing in 1998 was traded for Rs 10 crore.The deal is to be settled after one day at 13.49 per cent. Another deal, to be settled the same day, was concluded for Rs 5 crore at 13.48 per cent. A Rs 5-crore deal was struck in the 13.50 per cent central government security maturing in 1997. The deal was struck at a price of Rs 100.42 at 13.10 per cent.

 

The 91-day treasury bills, which hogged the spotlight last week, drew Rs 20 crore. The newly-auctioned treasury bill maturing on November 30 was dealt for Rs 10 crore.
