Values Decline

Values of scrips declined further on the Madras Stock Exchange yesterday. However, a few counters moved up and settled with small to modest gains.

The MSE share price further declined by 28.67 points to close at 3233.66.

Karur Vysya Bank shed Rs 13 to Rs 132, L&T by Rs 7 to Rs 220, Lak Vilas Bank by Rs 9.50 to Rs 51.50, ITC by Rs 5 to Rs 301, Reliance by Rs 3.25 to Rs 201.75 and Pentafour Communication by Rs 4.25 to Rs 22.75.

State Bank of India eased a rupee at Rs 226. Ashok Leyland slipped by Rs 9.25 to Rs 103, Bank of Madura by Rs 6 to Rs 86 were easier.

 

However, Sterling Computers shot up to Rs 286 from Rs 275.50. Aruna Sugars, Balaji Bio, Chandraprabhu, Elgi Finance, Eid Parry and Nedungadi Bank all edged up.
