Zaire Rebels To Release Hostages

Zairean rebels have agreed to release 46 Lebanese nationals held as hostages under a deal brokered by Lebanese residents with Beirut's embassies in Zaire and South Africa, a Lebanese official said on Sunday. 'The rebels and officials from our embassies in South Africa and Zaire reached an agreement on Saturday under which 46 Lebanese hostages would be released any time today,' Haitham Jomaa, director general at the ministry of emigrants said.
