3i Infotech opens Chennai centre

Mumbai-based IT solutions and services provider 3i Infotech has opened a new global development centre in Chennai to focus on the enhancement and development of company's flagship insurance solution Premia and the Kastle line of banking solution as also to support company's organic growth in these areas.

Spread over 2 lakh sft, it will have a seating capacity for 2,400 professionals and also house a data centre. The establishment of the Chennai centre is in line with the company's strategy for organic growth through the enhancement of its IP.

The company invests around 5 per cent of its revenues in R&D across Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kochi and Hyderabad every year, a company statement said.
