Hitachi Data Systems centre in B'lore

Our Bureau Chennai/ Bangalore
Hitachi Data Systems, a provider of storage solutions on Thursday announced the setting up of its Application Optimized Storage (AOS) Laboratory in Bangalore.

The 5,000 sft facility will be used for demonstrating its storage solutions to clients in India.

It will enable Hitachi Data Systems' customers, both existing and potential, in mission-critical applications to visualise the impact of such solutions on their businesses. It will also help reduce the deployment time in production terms at the client's site.

The AOS Lab will feature controller-based storage virtualisation, storage management, performance management and consolidation.

Most importantly, it will allow customers to configure and deploy storage infrastructure that is optimised for their applications.

This will be a huge advantage because it will provide customers with an application view of the storage infrastructure that currently has been missing in such deployments.

Some of the tests such as proof of concepts, stress tests, configuration management, storage management, consolidation and performance management will be offered at the AOS Lab.
