Infor expects significant growth in its Asia-Pacific operations

Infor, a global enterprise software provider, expects a significant growth in its operations in the Asia-Pacific region in the near future.
The region currently accounts for 9 per cent of the company's revenues. Infor would like to see that this would jump to a double digit figure within a year's span, company's senior vice-president and general manager John Flavin said.
Infor has recently acquired SSA Global which has its outfit in Hyderabad. The acquisition, according to Flavin, resulted in an increased growth in Infor's Indian operations.
Flavin said that Infor had taken up the acquisition route to emerge as the fastest growing and third largest enterprise software provider in the industry with $2.1 billion in revenues.
The company's recent acquisitions included Extensity, a financial performance management software company, and Systems Union Group, a UK-based provider of financial and performance management solutions.
At present, Infor has 280 customers in India. The company's offices in Pune and Hyderabad have an employee strength of 600. "We will also look at other centres like Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi for starting our operations," Flavin said, adding that Infor's ERP and supply chain designs were expected to be introduced in India.
Globally, Infor has 70,000 customers and 8,100 employees spread over 100 countries. However, 50 per cent of its revenues still come from the Americas.
Infor is attracting about 1,000 new customers in a year and has the distinction of having 95 per cent customer retention rate. "About 80 per cent of our employees touch our customers every day," Flavin said.
