Polaris partners City Network

Polaris Software Lab Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with City Networks, a software and services developer for the treasury, securities and derivatives markets.

Under the agreement between the two companies, Polaris will provide product development and support services to City Networks.

Chennai-headquartered Polaris, the first external development partner for City Networks, will leverage its domain expertise coupled with global delivery model to re-engineer City Network's Exceptions and Investigations product suite.

The partnership is in line with City Networks' global strategy of addressing increasing customer demand for enterprise-wide Exceptions and Investigations products.

Arun Jain, chairman and CEO of Polaris, said his company had successfully designed and developed enterprise platforms using emerging Microsoft Technologies, which would integrate seamlessly with the existing products of City Networks.

"Moving into a strategic relationship with City Networks has been possible because of our focus on developing a .NET Center of Excellence coupled with our domain expertise. Having sensed the trend in migration towards .NET from legacy platform, we have partnered with Microsoft as their launch partner in India for Visual Studio 2005 & SQL Server 2005," Jain said.

Richard Hill, chief executive officer, City Networks, said the company had started two new projects with Polaris and was looking at opportunities to market the latter's products to its global customer base.

London-based City Networks manages transaction risk from trade inception to final settlement for over 500 companies worldwide.
