Samsung unveils 'slimmest phones' in India

Samsung Telecommunications India today unveiled a new line of what it claims are 'the world's slimmest mobile phones' - ultra edition series - in India.

"Featuring the world's slimmest phones in slider, clamshell, and bar form factors, the Ultra edition presents consumers with unparalleled breakthroughs in technology while retaining simplicity of use," an official Samsung release issued today said.

The 1st model to be launched within the series is Ultra Edition 6.9 - the world's slimmest bar phone. Ultra Edition 12.9 (D900) - 'the world's slimmest slider phone' and the Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830) - 'the world's slimmest clamshell phone' will be launched next month, the release said.

H C Ryu, MD of Samsung, said: "India is a very critical market for Samsung and the launch of the Ultra slim series in India is a testimony to our commitment to meet the growing aspirations of consumers for sleek phones that accentuate their personality without compromising on premium multimedia capabilities."
