Our Bureau Bangalore
Schema, a global provider of telecom network optimisation software solutions, has announced its plans to have a direct presence in India.

This company's solutions are used in enabling wireless telephony operators to improve their quality of service by avoiding call drops, improving the clarity of calls and enhancing the total experience of a mobile user.

According to the company, the decision to step up its presence in India follows the completion of a successful project for Hutchison Essar.

Said Andy Silberstein, COO, Schema: "India is an attractive, emerging market, but is also highly competitive. India holds a prominent position in the telecom sector among the growing Asian economies. Since, in addition to increased competitive pressures, tariffs are falling, telecom operators are looking at technologically advanced solutions to reduce costs, while providing the best network quality to their customers. It is this opportunity we are targetting. We are talking to all the mobile operators in India in both GSM and CDMA segments."
