SQL Star acquires US firm

SQL Star International Limited (SSIL), a global IT services company headquartered in Hyderabad, has acquired TalentFuse Inc, a San Diego-based IT consulting company, for $6 million (about Rs 24 crore).

"This acquisition adds considerable management depth, brings with it an impressive roster of marquee customers, and strengthens our consulting practice with a vast pool of highly skilled IT consultants that will merge into our employee base. We expect this to yield substantial synergies and will allow SQL Star International Inc to offer a larger portfolio of consulting services to the combined customers base," NR Ganti, CMD of SSIL, stated in a press release.

TalentFuse currently serves customers such as Qualcomm, Intuit, Home Depot, Microsoft, Invitrogen and a host of other Fortune 500 customers.

Post acquisition, Ganti said, the founders/principals of TalentFuse had agreed to continue with SSIL and drive the consulting business of the combined operations.

The consulting business would be run by Brian Margarita, a veteran of the IT consulting industry in the US.
