Tata Infotech, TCS to merge, ratio put at 2:1

The board of directors of Tata Infotech and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today approved the merger of the two companies.

According to a release posted on the website of TCS, the merger ratio has been pegged at 2:1 i.e for every two shares of Tata Infotech, shareholders will receive one share of TCS.
