Wipro signs MoU with varsity

Wipro has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sastra University, Thanjavur, to take its ongoing collaboration with the institution to the next level.

Wipro, which had chosen to partner Sastra University, an engineering institute, had entered into a memorandum of understanding, with the objective of "building industry-academia relationship and empowering the students to gear up for challenges of the corporate world," Chandrasekhar Dharuman, vice-president, Wipro, Technologies said in a statement today.

The MoU envisages a set of planned activities and interactions addressing the various stakeholders, namely students, faculty and management, a release from Wipro said.

These activities and interactions include faculty development programmes, technical sponsorships, students workshop, among others, it added.
