Actress Shweta Tripathi says she doesn't have a problem doing "glamorous" roles but would prefer to pick characters which challenge her as an artist.
	Debuting with the 2015 Neeraj Ghaywan film "Masaan" and featuring in the recent release "Haraamkhor", Shweta says she is aware of the perception of her being a 'serious actress' but will not do conventional heroine roles to break out of the image.
	"I get approached by people describing the role by saying 'its glamourous', when I ask for the script I hear 'Ya we will send but it's glamorous.' I don't have any problem doing 'glamorous' role but give me some meat in it. I can't do it for the sake of it.
	"I refuse to settle for something which doesn't challenge me. I don't mind doing a one-scene or one-line film but it needs to be impactful," Shweta told PTI.
	The actress feels the reason for the absence of strong women characters is the lack of female writers in Bollywood.

Superstar Aamir Khan has condemned the recent attack on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of "Padmavati", saying it was "very unfortunate."
	Bhansali and the team of "Padmavati" were roughed up by members of the Rajput Karni Sena for allegedly presenting "distorted facts" in the movie. The group even stalled the shooting by vandalising the set at Jaigarh Fort.
	Last night, at the success party of "Dangal", Aamir said he had been to Rajasthan for shooting but never had such an experience.
	"What has happened is very unfortunate. I think no one should take the law in their hands. What has happened is wrong," Aamir said.
	"I have shot in Rajasthan and the people over there are nice and lovable. I have had good experiences only but if you hear negative things you do feel bad. It's sad," he said.
	The period drama, scheduled to release this November, stars Deepika in the lead role of queen Padmavati and features Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh.Ranveer Singh is essaying the role

Pakistani Ghazal singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been named ambassador to a UK-based charity, British Asian Trust, which strives to eradicate poverty and conflicts from South Asia.
	The 43-year-old musician took to Twitter to share the news with his fans and followers alongside a video of his performance at the function.
	"Thank you @britishasiantst for the #honour of becoming your #ambassador," wrote Rahat.
	The singer also met Prince Charles, which he further added "was (an) overwhelming" experience for him.
	In the video, Rahat can be seen performing the song by legendary singer and his uncle, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, "Tere Bin Nahi Lagda Dil Mera..."
	The British Asian Trust was founded in 2007 by the Prince of Wales.

Singer-actress Selena Gomez, who has been out of the spotlight since August last year, has shared a teaser of her new song on Instagram story, giving fans a taste of what's to come on her third studio album.

"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo helped her co-actor Camilla Luddington stage a replica of singer Beyonce Knowles' iconic pregnancy announcement earlier this week.
	The 33-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with actor Matt Alan, posted a photograph on Instagram where Pompeo can be seen playing director with her striking the pose similar to that of Beyonce.
	"Arguing over whether this is really necessary @ellenpompeo," Luddington captioned the picture.

"The Crown" actor John Lithgow has joined the star cast of musical comedy "Pitch Perfect 3".
	The 71-year-old star will join Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks, Hailee Steinfeld and Rebel Wilson in the upcoming threequel to 2012 romantic musical "Pitch Perfect", reported AceShowbiz.
	Besides "The Crown," Lithgow also appeared in the action thriller "The Accountant" opposite Ben Affleck and Kendrick, and in "Miss Sloane" starring Jessica Chastain.

"Trolls" director Mike Mitchell has been hired to helm "The Lego Movie" sequel for Warner Bros Animation.
	Mitchell will replace Rob Schrab who left the second 'Lego Movie' due to creative differences, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
	The sequel to 2014 hit adventure fantasy is scheduled for February 8, 2019 Stateside.
	It is unclear if any of the original voice cast that include Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman will return to the follow-up story.
