BJP-ruled Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh today decided to ban the screening of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh's film "MSG-2" in the state.
	Official sources in Raipur said that Chief Minister Raman Singh has taken a decision to ban the film in Chhattisgarh considering the sentiments of local tribal communities.
	The officials added that a delegation of tribal representatives led by state Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda met the Chief Minister and sought a ban on the film.
	The delegation had told Raman Singh that the film has hurt the sentiments of the tribal community and therefore the movie should be banned in the state.
	A Ranchi report said Jharkhand government banned the film citing some "objectionable" dialogues in the movie against tribal communities.

As Film and Television Institute of India's (FTII) strike against appointment of actor and BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as its chairman, enters its 100th day, a ray of hope is seen by the students with the Centre agreeing to a fresh round of talks this week, to break the impasse.
	In a softening of its earlier stand that no talks would be held till the students ended the strike which started on June 12, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry conveyed it to the FTII Students' Association (FSA) a couple of days ago that fresh talks could be held if there were no "preconditions".
     FSA responded positively, saying there will be no preconditions on its part, and it expected the same from the government. The modalities of talks and dates are yet to be finalised.

Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma, who is making his film debut with "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoo", says he will continue to do TV comedy shows even while working in movies.
	In an interview with Rajat Sharma on the show "Aap Ki Adalat" on India TV, the 34-year-old "Comedy Nights with Kapil" star said, "Even Shah Rukh Khan and (Amitabh) Bachchan sir are doing TV shows while working in films. Nowadays, nobody is confined to a single genre."
	Sharma is making his foray into Bollywood with filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan's romantic-comedy, which also stars Arbaaz Khan, Elli Avram, Varun Sharma and Manjari Phadnis among others.

	Perry, 30, who performed at NYFW party dedicated 'I Kissed A Girl' to Carey and 'Fireworks' to assistants working during the fashion week, reported Aceshowbiz.
	"Mariah! This one's dedicated to you my lovely lady," Perry said to Carey, who attended the star-studded bash.
	"You paved the way for so many of us. Now you can just enjoy yourself," she continued.
	Carey, 45, took to Twitter to thank "California Gurls" hitmaker "Your performance was wonderful," she wrote.

The release date of Hugh Jackman-starrer musical biopic "The Greatest Showman on Earth" has been pushed by a year.
	The film, which was supposed to hit theatres on December 25, 2016, will now release in 2017 Christmas, said the Hollywood Reporter.
	Apart from "The Greatest Showman on Earth", production banner 20th Century Fox has made several key changes to its release calendar.
	 Director Tim Burton's "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" will open on Christmas Day in 2016. The film, based on Ransom Riggs' debut novel, had been scheduled to launch March 4, 2016.

"MSG-2 The Messenger", directed by Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was today banned in Jharkhand.
      Referring to some "objectionable" dialogues against tribal communities, Chief Minister Raghubar Das issued the order to impose ban on the film which was released in the state yesterday, an official release said here.
     "Playing with the sentiments of tribals or people of any section of the society will not be allowed...Screening of the controversial film will not be allowed in the state," Das said in a statement.
	The film is a sequel to the "MSG: The Messenger" released earlier in the same year.

"Ted 2" star Amanda Seyfried has joined David Lynch's TV series "Twin Peaks" revival.
	The 29-year-old "Veronica Mars" alum has landed a major role on the continuation of the 1990s series, but details of her characters are still kept under wraps, reported Ace Showbiz.
	Seyfried would be playing a pivotal new character and has apparently been booked for multiple episodes.
	"Twin Peaks" revival marks her biggest TV gig since she appeared in 44 episodes of the drama series "Big Love".
	The new "Twin Peaks" series will consist of 18 episodes which all are written by co-creators Lynch and Mark Frost.
	Lynch is also directing all episodes of the revival which is set in the present day and promises to "continue the lore of the original series."
	Filming is currently underway in Washington state with original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Dana Ashbook and Sherilyn Fenn returning to reprise their roles.
	No premiere date is announced for the new series yet.

"21 Jump Street" actress Brie Larson is in talks to play Tennis player Billie Jean King in the drama "Battle of the Sexes".
	Larson, 25, would replace actress Emma Stone, who had to pass on the role due to a scheduling conflict. Actor Steve Carell is currently set to play Bobby Riggs in the film, reported Variety.
	The story of King and Riggs became a zeitgeist event back in 1973, when the 29-year-old No 2 ranked female star rose to the challenge and beat the 55-year-old retired former Wimbledon champion Riggs.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan made viewers teary-eyed with the climax of his hit 2003 film "Kal Ho Naa Ho", but the actor says his children saw a version where the movie ends before his character dies.
	Shah Rukh, 49, played Aman Mathur, a terminally ill patient in the Nikhil Advani-directed romantic drama.
	When a fan tweeted Shah Rukh a little girl's reaction after watching "Kal Ho Naa Ho", the "Chennai Express" star said Karan Johar, who produced and wrote the film, made a special edit of the movie for his children.
	"Never shown the ending of 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' to my kids. Karan made a special edit where movie ends before I fly away," he tweeted.
	In the video, the girl is seen breaking into tears after watching the emotional climax of the movie, which ends with his characters death.

	 Maldonado, 39, had a lesion removed from the base bone of her brain on September 11, reported People magazine.

	The movie star is attached as an exec producer to an untitled 1980's drama exploring the mafia along with "Ray Donovan" writer Brett Johnson, who will exec produce and pen the series, reported Variety
	The Brooklyn-set potential series follows a decade-long relationship between an unstable mafia captain and a rogue federal agent, each violating the strict codes of their respective organisations.
	The drama examines the power the Wall Street era had on the mafia and the FBI.

Director-choreographer Prabhudheva has expressed his desire to make his dream project 'Ramyana' on the lines of Hollywood blockbuster "Lord of the Rings".
     "I would love to make it. Ramyana has to be like 'Lord of the Rings'. But the money has to be huge... Someone should be ready to put in that huge amount of money," he told PTI.
      "Lord of the Rings" has three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson. They are based on the novel of the same name.
      The films are titled as "The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001), "The Two Towers" (2002) and "The Return of the King" (2003).
