Brazil has come out with a unique way to pay tribute to the 100 years of Indian cinema by releasing two postage stamps which are designed by an Indian graphic designer.
	The stamp was released in Brasilia on May 5 to mark a nation-wide film festival dedicated to contemporary Indian cinema.
	The stamp has been designed by Indian Ambassador to Brazil, Ashok Tomar along with the curators and directors of the festival, Anand Jyothi and Carina Bini Palackapilly.
	The Film festival is the first of its kind in South America and would later move to other Brazilian cities like Rio De Janerio, Reife (Northern Brazil) and Porte Alegre (Southern Brazil) after the end of the World Cup which is scheduled from June 12 to July 13.
	The ceremony was also attended by the Cultural Director of the Brazilian Postal Services, Romulo Salvino and the Cultural Secretary, Sueli Navaho along with other Indian and Brazilian officials.

A sum of Rs 1.20 crore in cash was allegedly stolen from Bollywood filmmaker Satish Kaushik's residence in suburban Versova by his domestic help, police said today.
	The bag containing the cash was stolen by one of the three domestic helps, Sajan Kumar, yesterday afternoon from the actor-director-producer's house in Raj Classic apartment, said Senior Police Inspector Harishchandra Parmale at Versova police station.
	The help has been absconding since then. Hence, four police teams have been formed to track down Sajan, who hails from Jharkhand, police said, adding, "the teams have been dispatched to different places outside Maharashtra."
	According to police, the cash was handed over to Kaushik by one of his employees on Friday and the director had plans to deposit the amount in the bank on Monday.
	On Sunday, the bag with cash could not be found in the house following which Kaushik's wife approached police and an FIR was registered, the officer said.

Superstar Akshay Kumar wants his son Aarav to keep a distance from showbiz so that he can enjoy a normal childhood.
	"It's a conscious decision to keep my son away from limelight. I think it is better to keep them (children) away from all this that is seen everywhere in newspapers and all. I want to give them a normal childhood," Akshay, 46, said in a media interaction here.
	After having obtained a black belt in Taekwondo while in India, Akshay studied martial arts in Bangkok, Thailand. And now Aarav too is following his father's footsteps.
	"My son is a brown belt. He has just won gold medal in judo in national championship. I am a proud father. I am happy he is doing this," Akshay said.

'Oculus' director Mike Flanagan has revealed that he is going to adapt 'Gerald's Game' for his next project.
	Flanagan is writing the script with his writing partner Jeff Howard. Trevor Macy and his Intrepid Pictures banner will produce, as he also did on Flanagan's two horror films, reported Deadline.
	Flanagan and Macy originally intended the next picture to be 'Diver', a film that would have started production this summer.
	They've pushed that picture back and instead will plunge full on into 'Gerald's Game, which is casting for a fall start and will be selling at Cannes.
	"In the tradition of Misery and Dolores Claiborne, Gerald's Game is one of the most intense and compelling novels I've ever read, and this has been a dream project for many years.
	"Trevor and I are very excited to help translate that experience for an audience," said Flanagan, who'll push Diver back to 2015.

Iconic cinematographer Gordon Willis, whose photography for "The Godfather" series and Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" and "Manhattan" helped define the look of 1970s cinema, has died at age 82.
	The cause of the death has not been disclosed yet, reported Deadline.
	 Phone calls and social media posts about Willis' passing began trickling in on Sunday evening.
	"This is a momentous loss," confirmed American Society of Cinematographers President Richard Crudo late Sunday night.
	"He was one of the giants who absolutely changed the way movies looked. Up until the time of The Godfather 1 and 2, nothing previously shot looked that way. He changed the way films looked and the way people looked at films," Crudo added.
	Born in New York City, Willis' father worked as a make-up artist at Warner Brothers, and though Willis was originally interested in lighting and stage design, he later turned to photography.

'Godfather' cinematographer Gordon Willis dies

A hologram that looked like king of pop Michael Jackson performed the new hit of his posthumous album 'Xscape' at the Billboard Music Awards.
	The late musician's hologram performed 'Slave to the Rhythm' from his recently released album and did his famous moonwalk in front of a star-studded Las Vegas audience yesterday at the award ceremony, reported New York Daily News.
	The performance began with a synchronised dancing until a curtain dropped and the hologram was seen sitting in a leopard-print throne.
	Soon the figure was in the spotlight with his power-packed singing.
	At the end of the performance, the crowd gave the performance a standing ovation.
	Jackson died in 2009 following drug overdose.

British boyband One Direction are set to hit the big screen as cartoon characters.
	The Australian-owned animation and special effects studio Animal Logic Entertainment and Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment are behind the animated film, reported Daily star.
	"This is a perfect fit of complementary talents," Animal Logic Entertainment's boss Zareh Nalbandian said.
	Cowell said in statement that the partnership would "develop music-based animated and hybrid films".
	Bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, all 20, and Zayn Malik, 21, and Louis Tomlinson, 22, are already planning a second documentary movie, directed by Morgan Spurlock, following the monster success of their debut 'This Is Us'.

Television actress Sanjeeda Sheikh, currently playing Durga Thakur in serial 'Ek Hasina Thi', wants to try different roles without sticking to a particular image.
	"I like to play different roles in TV serials and do not want to create a particular image," Sheikh told reporters here today.

     The 70-year-old actor will be playing The Pope, a casino owner with illegitimate business practices in the film, reported Deadline.
