"Celluloid", a film by Kamal which bagged seven Kerala state film awards including for best film, is a belated tribute by a film-maker to J C Daniel.
	Prithviraj won the best actor award for his portrayal of Daniel, who had to struggle a lot to produce and exhibit the first film made in Malayalam- Vigathakumaran (The lost child), in the biopic.
	The actor said he was dedicating the award to the pioneer of Malayalam cinema.
	Kamal said through "Celluloid," he had strived to convey to the audience certain facts they should not forget about how cinema originated in Malayalam.
	"It is not meant to be taken merely at the cinematic level. The film has an academic touch too," he said.
	The life of Daniel was a long tale of struggles. For the making of of Vigathakumaran in 1926, he established the first film studio in Kerala named The Travancore National Pictures by selling a piece of his land for Rs four lakh. 'Skyfall' star Naomie Harris is planning to wear a Vivienne Westwood eco-gown made from sweet wrappers to the Academy Awards.
	The 36-year-old actress is planning to wear the unusual eco-gown and is excited to show it off, reported Contactmusic.
	"At the moment I am getting ready to attend the Oscars for the first time. I've decided on an eco-dress made from sweet wrappers by Vivienne Westwood," Harris said.
	The actress also revealed she would love to live in a church, preferably in north London.
	"I would love to live in a north London church. A friend used to live in a tiny studio at the top of a church and there was always an amazing energy when I went to visit her," she added.
	However, Harris said that she has unusual ideas about where to live after once spending three years living out of a suitcase.

British singer Alexandra Burke has decided to move away from pop music and relaunch herself as an actress.
 	The 'Bad Boys' star has released two albums since she shot to fame on Britain's 'The X Factor' in 2008, but she is now plotting a career change.
	Burke has been taking acting lessons in recent months and wants to concentrate on working in the theatre, after previously turning down a number of film and TV roles, reported Contactmusic.
	"I'm taking my career in a different direction. In the past there were Tv and movie offers, but I wasn't ready to look at them as I wasn't confident enough," she said.
	Burke made her West End debut last year when she made a cameo appearance in Les Miserables as part of a charity fundraiser.

Multiple Academy Award winners Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman will present at this year's Oscars ceremony, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today.
	Nicholson has been nominated 12 times and won for his leading performances in  "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) and "As Good as It Gets" (1997). He also won the award for supporting actor in 1983 for "Terms of Endearment".
	Hoffman, who has been nominated seven times, won for his leading performances in "Kramer vs Kramer" (1979) and "Rain Man" (1988).
	"Between the two of them, Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman have created more iconic characters than any other pair of actors in the world. Singer Elton John and his partner David Furnish say parenting the second time round is much easier.
	The couple, who already have one child, two-year-old Zachary, became parents for the second time in January when their youngest son Elijah was born, reported Telegraph.
	"It feels a lot easier, a lot more comfortable - the routine is already in place with Zachary in a way, and all the stuff that was so scary the first time around isn't quite so scary the second time around," Furnish said.

An intruder has been arrested from R&B star Rihanna's Pacific Palisades, LA home.
	The alleged suspect was confronted by the singer's neighbours after he was spotted lingering around her property, reports TMZ Online.
	According to reports, neighbours saw the intruder snooping around and they apprehended him before he had a chance to enter the singer's home.
	It is said that the suspect told police someone emailed him instructions of how to get into the pop star's home. The man is currently in custody and is being investigated for burglary.

'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local' director to turn producer

The tumultous relationship between Rihanna and Chris Brown has inspired a new episode of crime-based TV show 'Law & Order: SVU'.
	The show has released a promotional video for its upcoming February 27 episode titled "Funny Valentine", which tells the story of a singer who was beaten by her hip-hop star boyfriend, and yet remains inexplicably drawn to him, reported Hollywood Life.
	Though the episode is not officially based on the singers' relationship, it tells a story that seems to have been inspired by the 2009 episode in their lives, when Brown physically assaulted Rihanna.
	The episode takes the NBC series back to its "ripped from the headlines" roots.
	The show has put in place a major twist at the end to help destroy the parallel being drawn between the celebrity couple and the fictional episode, showing in the end that the male star who resembles Chris is murdered.

Police rushed to the Playboy mansion recently in response to a bogus 911 call reporting an assault inside the home.
	After an initial investigation showed no signs of an assault, an LAPD spokesman told the media, "It could be one of those swatting calls."
	When cops arrived at the scene, the LAPD said there was no evidence a crime had been committed on the property.
	But law enforcement sources said the cops do not believe it was a "swatting" prank, since they have been able to identify the caller and there is a possibility that the person was convinced an assault had actually occurred.

Actor-director Ben Affleck visited CIA for research for his Oscar-nominated film "Argo" to ensure accuracy in the dramatisation of his real-life thriller about US diplomats taken hostage in Iran.
	The 40-year-old undertook extensive investigations cross-examine true accounts by meeting the CIA agent, reported Sun online.
	"I really liked the idea that it was a true story. I did a ton of reading and a ton of interviewing. I went to the CIA, I read all the books," Affleck said.
	To maintain accuracy and precision, Affleck said, "I spent time with (CIA agent) Tony Mendez and for the first-person accounts of this, then I did a lot of researching with hostages."
	Affleck, recently won the award for Best Director at the Golden Globes and BAFTAs. The film also grabbed the award for Best Film(Drama) at the BAFTAs.
	"Argo" is nominated in the Best Picture category at the Oscars to be held on February 24.
