The Rajampet Lok Sabha Constituency in the state of Andhra Pradesh is currently held by P.V.Midhun Reddy of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Reddy beat D A Sathya Prabha of the Telugu Desam (TDP) by receiving 57.35% of the votes cast in this constituency.
Rajampet is one of the constituencies in 25-seat Andhra Pradesh. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rajampet went to the polls on April 11, 2019, in Phase 1. It saw 78.45% of its registered electors turning out to vote, against 77.87% in the previous national elections held in 2014. P.V.Midhun Reddy defeated his nearest rival, D A Sathya Prabha, by a margin of 268284 votes. While Reddy received 57.35 votes, runner-up D A Sathya Prabha polled 35.44 votes.
At the time of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rajampet had 1,404,127 registered electors – 700,837 of them male and 703,290 female. The constituency had seen a 79.79% voter turnout. In 2014, the male voter turnout here was 79.19%, while 80.38% female voters turned out for voting. A total of 9 candidates had contested in this constituency. The participation of women candidates was 1.
