The Bankura Lok Sabha Constituency of WEST BENGAL state is currently held by Sreemati Dev Varma (MOON MOON SEN) of TMC. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Sreemati Dev Varma (MOON MOON SEN) beat Basudeb Acharia of CPI (M) by receiving 39.10 per cent of the votes cast in this constituency.

Bankura is one of the constituencies in 42-seat West Bengal. At the time of the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2014, Bankura had 1,503,812 registered electors -- 775,893 of them male and 727,919 female. The constituency had seen a 82.21% voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In Bankura the male voter turnout was 83.21% and 81.15% female voters turned out for voting. A total of 14 candidates contested in this constituency -- Acharia Basudeb, Nilmadhab Gupta, Binoy Chowdhury, Sreemati Dev Varma (Moon Moon Sen), Subhas Kumar Sarkar, Kabita Singhababu, Paresh Marandi, Panmani Besra, Banerjee Prabir, Shib Sankar Ghosh, Sudhir Kumar Murmu, Hulu Khetrapal, Gour Chandra Hembram, Shyamal Sikdar . The participation of women candidates in this seat was 3.
