Delhi on Sunday recorded 648 fresh COVID cases with a positivity rate of 4.29 per cent, while five more people succumbed to the viral disease, according to data shared by the health department here.

The day also saw 668 people being discharged, taking the total number of recoveries to 39,24,900. Active cases in the state stood at 6,440, a health department bulletin said.
Chennai accounted for the majority of new cases at 1,059, Chengalpet 393, Tiruvallur 142, Coimbatore 117 while the remaining was spread across other districts.
With these fresh infections and fatalities, Delhi's caseload climbed to 19,36,365 and the death toll increased to 26,266, the health department bulletin said.
Telangana on Saturday recorded 516 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the overall tally to 8,01,922 so far.
