The General-Secretary of Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai on Sunday said that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is likely to be ready in three years time."The Ram Temple will be built in about two and a half acres and a wall will be built around it, which is called Parkota. Retaining walls will be built inside the ground to prevent the effects of floods. Ram Temple project likely to cost Rs 1,100 crore: Trust official

The construction of the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya, including the main structure, is estimated to cost around Rs 1,100 crore and is expected to be completed in three-and-a-half years, said the treasurer of the trust overseeing the project on Monday. Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, treasurer, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said structural experts and engineers are drawing up a plan for foundation of the temple. Addressing a press conference here, he said the cost of construction of the main Ram Temple is estimated at Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore, while the entire premises will "cost not less than Rs 1,100 crore". "But, these are all estimation that we need to raise, the seer said. The construction of the temple has started and experts from IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Guwahati, Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, and special engineers from L&T and Tata groups are deliberating on drawing up a plan for strong foundation of the complex, Giriji .

Ram Temple construction panel to finalise building plan: Key trust member

The Ram Mandir construction committee is working on finalising the foundation laying plan for the upcoming temple in consultation with building experts, said a key member of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust. After the first day of a slated two-day meeting, chaired by Ram temple construction committee chief Nripendra Mishra, Trust member Anil Mishra told PTI that the committee along with the experts from Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consulting Engineers Limited reviewed the preparations for the construction of the shrine and also discussed its layout plan. Babri verdict: Keeping tight vigil in national capital, says Delhi Police

The Delhi Police Wednesday said they will keep a strict vigil in the national capital in view of the judgement in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case which is slated to be announced during the day. "We will keep a watch on the security aspect across the city," a senior police officer said. The much-awaited judgment in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case in which BJP veterans L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi are among the accused will be pronounced on Wednesday. Advani, Joshi and other accused Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh are unlikely to be present in the trial court at the time of delivery of the verdict. Their advocate KK Mishra also said that Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas chief, Nritya Gopal Das, too is unlikely to be present in the CBI special court in Lucknow.
