Those who hesitated to take Ayodhya's name now saying will visit: CM

Taking a swipe at opposition party leaders, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that those who hesitated to even take Ayodhya's name are now saying they will visit the city if invited. Adityanath made the remark while addressing a large gathering in Vatsalya Gram, Vrindavan at a programme organised to celebrate Sadhvi Ritambhara's 60th birthday. Several opposition party leaders have suggested that they will attend the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Those who hesitated to go to Ayodhya earlier, those who were hesitant in even taking Ayodhya's name, are now saying that if we get an invitation we will also go, the chief minister said. Adityanath also lauded the change in Ayodhya's infrastructure, which now has spacious roads, upgraded railway station and air connectivity. He added that Ayodhya will soon have waterways also. This is the biggest change in the double engine government. If you assert your power, everyone will join you, he

Ayodhya case judges unanimously decided to keep verdict anonymous: CJI

More than four years after the historic Ayodhya verdict of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Monday said the five-judges, who ruled in favour of construction of a Ram temple by a trust at the disputed site, had unanimously decided there will be no authorship ascribed to the judgement. On November 9, 2019, settling a fractious issue that went back more than a century, a five-judge bench headed by the then CJI Ranjan Gogoi had paved the way for construction of the temple and ruled that an alternative five-acre plot will be found for a mosque in the holy town in Uttar Pradesh. In an exclusive interview with PTI, CJI Chandrachud, who was part of the constitution bench, candidly spoke on the issue of anonymity and said, when the judges sat together, as they do before a pronouncement, it was unanimously decided that this will be a "judgement of the court". He was replying to the query as to why the name of the author judge was not made public. "When the five-jud

PM Modi fulfilled dream of Ram temple in Ayodhya: Uttarakhand CM

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday said it is a matter of great pride for every devotee of Lord Ram that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the dream of a majestic Ram temple in Ayodhya will become a reality next month. Talking to reporters here, he also attacked the opposition parties, saying those who opened fire on the devotees of Lord Ram could neither build a temple nor abolish Article 370 of the Constitution and the practice of instant triple talaq. Article 370 accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir. "Due to the determination of Prime Minister Modi, Ram temple in Ayodhya could be constructed and it is a matter of pride for every Ram Bhakt," Dhami said. The consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be held on January 22. To a question on the proposed 'Bharat Nyay Yatra" of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said, "People know the character of these people who had made every effort to foil the bid to build Ram temple."
