Ram temple construction work likely to generate Rs 400 cr GST: Official

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai has said the ongoing construction work connected to the Ram temple in Ayodhya is estimated to generate Goods and Services Tax (GST) of nearly Rs 400 crore. However, the actual tax collection figure will be known only after the completion of the construction work, Rai said at a public felicitation function in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on Monday. UP to launch electric boats in Ayodhya, Varanasi to boost religious tourism

The Uttar Pradesh government is set to expand electricity-based adventure water activities and boat ride facilities in Ayodhya and Varanasi to boost religious tourism. The government is on the verge of starting the operation of four specialised electric boats in both cities, according to an official statement. "Under the scheme, one air-conditioned electric boat with a 50-seat capacity and two electric boats with 30-seat capacities each will be operated from Nayaghat on the Saryu River in Ayodhya," it said. After seven years, the circle rate of land in the Sadar tehsil of Ayodhya district will be raised by up to 200 per cent from next month, officials here said on Friday. UP okays TATA Sons' Rs 650 cr proposal for 'museum of temples' in Ayodhya

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal from the Tata Sons to build a 'museum of temples' in Ayodhya at a cost of Rs 650 crore, officials said. Sharing details about the decision, Tourism Minister Jaivir Singh said the tourism department would provide the company land for the international-level museum on a 90-year lease for a token money of Re 1.
