Delhi school receives bomb threat, police say no suspicious object found

A search was initiated on the premises of the Delhi Public School in Mathura Road here after the school administration received a bomb threat via email on Wednesday morning, officials said. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rajesh Deo, after reviewing the situation, said no suspicious object has been found on the school premises yet. "The situation is normal. Bomb disposal squad, dog squad and a SWAT team are sanitising the school building," the police officer added. As the news of the bomb threat spread, panic-stricken parents gathered outside the school in the morning. The school was evacuated and the fire department was informed about the threat around 8 am. Bihar Police detain one person for hoax bomb call to Patna airport

Bihar Police has detained one person on Wednesday after a hoax call was made claiming that an explosive was planted at the Jayprakash Narayan International Airport here earlier in the day. The caller was detained by the police in Samastipur, senior superintendent of police of Patna Rajeev Mishra told PTI. Initial investigations have revealed that the caller was in an inebriated state when he made the call, he said. "The entire area was scanned thoroughly but no suspicious object was found. A school in Delhi's Defence Colony was evacuated Wednesday morning after an e-mail said there were bombs on the premises, police said. Chandigarh court evacuated after bomb threat call, police launch search

The Chandigarh Police launched a search operation in the district court complex here Tuesday afternoon following a bomb threat call, officials said. "We got information from the control room that there might be a bomb (inside the court complex). After this, a massive search operation has been launched," a senior Chandigarh police official said. The court complex in Sector 43 was evacuated, with the police asking all present inside including the judges and advocates to move out. A Moscow-to-Goa flight made an emergency landing at Gujarat's Jamnagar airport on Monday night following a bomb threat, police said.
