Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday took a swipe at the Congress and DMK over dynasty politics and alleged corruption, calling them "2G, 3G, 4G" parties and said the time has come in Tamil Nadu to throw away these and give the power to a "son of the soil". Cong govt created 'history of development' in Rajasthan, says CM Gehlot

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday claimed that his government has created history with the development works undertaken by it and listed out its achievements in the last four-and-half years. Assembly elections in Rajasthan are slated to be held later this year. Addressing a programme in Pratapgarh district, Gehlot said that while 250 colleges were opened in the state in 70 years, his government opened 300 colleges in four-and-a-half years with a special focus on girls' education. Seven colleges, including that of agriculture and sanskrit, and a girls' college, have been opened in Pratapgarh while the number of beds in the district hospital has been increased from 100 to 300, he said. BJP MP and WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Sunday attacked the Congress over the Emergency of 1975 and the anti-Sikhs riots of 1984 at a public meeting, skipping any reference to the wrestlers' protest and sexual harassment allegations against him. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar says the Congress' poll promise of five guarantees was a "very tough call" and feels it can be a template for the party in other states depending upon their respective financial strength. India's debt under Modi govt risen to Rs 155 trillion, claims Congress

The Congress on Saturday alleged that India's debt has nearly "tripled" to Rs 155 lakh crore in the nine years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded a white paper on the state of the economy.
