Delhi on Sunday recorded 95 fresh COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 0.97 per cent and one fatality due to the infection, according to the data shared by the city health department. The new cases were detected from the 9,742 tests conducted the previous day, the department said in its latest bulletin. With the new cases, Delhi's COVID-19 tally climbed to 20,02,452, while the death toll increased to 26,499, it said. Cases of COVID-19 in Delhi have registered a drop in the last several days. Mumbai logs 104 new Covid-19 cases, 2 casualties in last 24 hours

Mumbai on Sunday recorded 104 fresh cases of coronavirus and two deaths due to the infection, an official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said. With this, the tally of cases has risen to 11,49,049 and toll to 19,725, he said. Of the latest cases, 14 patients have been hospitalised, with seven on oxygen support, taking the number of patients undergoing treatment at city hospitals to 141, the official said. As many as 185 patients have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, raising the count of recoveries to 11,28,253. With a recovery rate of 98.2 per cent, the city currently has 1,071 active cases, he said. At least 7,635 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of tests conducted so far to 1,82,30,558, the official said. Maharashtra on Sunday recorded 602 new coronavirus positive cases and three deaths, which raised its caseload to 81,15,542 and toll to 1,48,310, the state health department said. There was a slight drop in the number of cases on Sunday as compared the previous day, when the state had recorded 631 cases along with three fatalities. The highest number of 239 cases were detected in the Mumbai circle, followed by 191 in Pune circle, 51 in Nagpur, Nashik 38, Kolhapur 29, Aurangabad eight, Latur and Amrawati circles 23 each, the department said. Odisha logs 233 Covid-19 cases including 34 children, active tally at 1,630

Odisha's COVID-19 tally rose to 13,31,586 on Saturday as 233 more people, including 34 children, tested positive for the infection, a health bulletin said. The state had recorded 214 infections on Friday. Odisha's coronavirus death toll remained unchanged at 9,186 as no fresh fatality was reported. 5 dead, 12 injured as bus plunges into gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri

Five persons were killed and 12 others injured when the bus they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, officials said on Thursday. The bus, which was on its way to Jammu from Surankote Poonch, skidded off the road and plunged into the gorge at Deri Ralyot in Manjakote area, they said. Security forces and local residents have launched a rescue operation, they added. The accident comes a day after 11 people were killed and 28 others injured in another accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
