County Group to invest Rs 1,800 cr to develop housing project in Ghaziabad

Realty firm County Group will invest Rs 1,800 crore to develop a housing project in Ghaziabad as part of its expansion plan. The company has launched new project 'Jade County', which is spread over 13.33 acres, comprising around 1,000 units. In a statement on Wednesday, County Group said that it has bought this land parcel in Wave Group's large township 'Wave City' for Rs 400 crore. The total saleable area in this project will be 30 lakh square feet. The "total investment outlay will be Rs 1,800 crore", it added. Amit Modi, Director at County Group, said the project is strategically located in Wave City along the NH24 corridor. Signature Global to invest Rs 4,000 cr in FY26 for construction projects

Realty firm Signature Global will invest around Rs 4,000 crore this fiscal to acquire land parcels and carry out construction activities in its housing projects at Gurugram, a top company official said on Monday. In an interview with PTI, Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal said the company had invested Rs 1,070 crore last fiscal year to purchase 48-acre land in Gurugram, Haryana. "Land is an important raw material for real estate developers. We will be investing around Rs 1,200-1,500 crore on the acquisition of land parcels," he said. The company is looking for lands in the Delhi-NCR market to expand its business, Aggarwal noted. "Housing demand continues to be strong from end-users as well as investors. Realty firm Godrej Properties Ltd has acquired a 14-acre land in Pune to develop a housing project with a revenue potential of Rs 4,200 crore as part of its expansion plan. In a regulatory filing on Monday, Godrej Properties said it will develop the 14-acre land parcel in Kharadi - Wagholi, Pune. The development on this land will comprise primarily premium group housing. "The project will have a developable potential of 3.7 million square feet with an estimated revenue potential of Rs 4,200 crore," the company said. 2 dead, 11 injured in rain, thunderstorm related accidents across Delhi

A 22-year-old youth and a person with disability died, while at least 11 were injured, in separate rain-related incidents in the national capital Wednesday evening, police said. Around 7.50 pm, a high-beam electricity pole collapsed during a thunderstorm near the Lodhi Road flyover in southeast Delhi, close to the Nizamuddin area. The pole fell in the middle of the road, hitting the disabled man who was passing by on a tricycle. "He was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital in an ambulance but was declared brought dead," a police officer said. The identity of the man is being ascertained. ED attaches NCR realty group's assets worth Rs 2,348 cr under PMLA act

The ED on Monday said it attached hundreds of acres of land and unsold real estate inventory in Delhi-NCR, apart from some residential units in Goa, worth Rs 2,348 crore as part of a money-laundering investigation against realty group WTC Faridabad Infrastructure Private Limited and other WTC Group entities. The federal probe agency issued a provisional attachment order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to attach these properties. The action has been taken in "a massive real estate fraud involving WTC Faridabad Infrastructure Private Limited and other entities of the WTC Group, headed by Ashish Bhalla", the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said. The attached assets include about 159 acres of licensed and unlicensed land, along with unsold real estate inventory across Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida, as well as residential properties in Goa and commercial premises in Delhi-NCR, it said.
