A massive fire in a plastic warehouse in west Delhi's Bawana area on Saturday reportedly killed nine persons, of which bodies of four have been pulled out, a Delhi Fire Services officer said.
Nine people are feared dead as a fire ripped through a plastic factory in outer Delhi's Bawana industrial area this evening, an official said. The Delhi Fire Services received a call about the fire at the factory around 6.20 pm and 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. "The firefighters have removed nine bodies," a Delhi Fire Services official said. However, Rohini DCP Rajneesh Gupta said four people have died in the blaze. The fire official said rescue operations are still on and the firefighters are trying to control the blaze.
Militants tonight hurled a grenade at a police station in south Kashmir's Shopian district, an official said. The militants lobbed the grenade at the Shopian police station this evening. No damage or casualty was reported, he said. The area has been cordoned after the incident, the official said.

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said that scientific data and technology based methods were being introduced to ensure safety on roads and regulate traffic. For this, the government is working to introduce the Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS). This would enable the motor vehicles department (MVD) to take data-based decisions, Transport minister Sunil Kumar Sharma said in the state Legislative Assembly. He was replying to the demand for grants of the transport department. The department has initiated the implementation of multiple measures in addition to the RADMS. These include web- based services, replacement of paper documents with smart cards, digitisation of records and introduction of digilocker services among others, Sharma said. Besides, an app 'Ride Safe' is also being developed for citizens to report instances of irresponsible driving, he said. Twenty-six people were today injured after their vehicle turned turtle in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said. The vehicle, a matador, was on its way to Majalta, they said. In the accident, 26 passengers were injured, the police said, adding they were immediately hospitalised.
An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale shook Assam's Kokrajhar district and its neighbouring areas today, the Met office said. Eleven people were killed and 46 injured when a Turkish intercity bus taking families bound for a half-term skiing trip crashed into trees while travelling on a motorway, local officials said. The bus, which was making an overnight journey from the capital Ankara to the western city of Bursa, crashed in the region of Eskisehir amid good road conditions, Eskisehir governor Ozdemir Cakacak was quoted as saying by the Dogan news agency.
