In a regulatory filing, the company said that "a new era in mobility is about to begin" alluding to an event under its Vida brand on October 7, 2022. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has installed 85 electric vehicle charging stations at 82 locations and 92 more such facilities are to be set up by December, officials said on Friday. The Government of India is promoting EVs adoption in India and has recently announced its target to reach 25 per cent EV adoption by 2030, the MCD said in a statement. Several state governments are also working towards accelerating EV adoption in their respective states, it added. "The MCD has installed 85 EV charging stations at 82 locations and all 85 EV charging stations have become operational for the public usage," the MCD said. Officials said 92 more such facilities are to be set up by December. The MCD has been taking necessary steps to create an optimal EV ecosystem in the city, it said. Tata Motors expects 20 per of its total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market to come from electric vehicles in the next three years, a senior company official said on Thursday. The company, which has electric models such as Nexon EV and Tigor EV, expects to touch 50,000 units mark in total EV sales this year. Shell launched its first EV chargers in India, for the four-wheeler and two-wheeler segments in Bengaluru on Thursday. India is the first market for Shell to launch chargers for two-wheelers. "The company plans to set up more than 10,000 charging points across India by 2030 and aims to provide safe, green, and integrated mobility solutions to its customers through the Shell Recharge Stations," Shell said in a statement.
