Jio-bp on Thursday announced the launch of an integrated mobility hub with 28 EV charging points within a retail outlet at Devanahalli in Bengaluru. The Devanahalli outlet with a multi-fuel retail site offering petrol, diesel, CNG, and a wildbean caf now adds an EV charging hub, featuring superfast DC chargers with 28 charging points dispensing up to 360kW, Jio-bp said. This flagship destination brings together fuel, CNG, EV, retail, and caf experiences under one roof, redefining convenience for customers and travellers alike, a statement issued by Jio-bp said. Mahindra & Mahindra and Samsung have collaborated to develop digital keys for electric SUVs, integrated with Samsung Wallet, thereby eliminating the need for physical keys, a senior official of the Korean electronics giant said on Wednesday. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has admitted an insolvency case against Blu-Smart Mobility Tech, the debt-ridden company which was providing all-electric ride-hailing services and building a network of EV charging infrastructure in India. The Ahmedabad bench of NCLT has admitted the insolvency plea filed by Lepton Software Export and Research against Blu-Smart Mobility over an unpaid amount of Rs 5.84 crore, and appointed Pawan Kumar Goyal as the interim resolution professional, suspending the board of the company. A two-member bench said there is an operational debt, which has been defaulted by Blu-Smart Mobility, and its operational creditor is entitled to recover it. "The respondent/corporate debtor Blu-Smart Mobility Pvt Ltd is admitted in the Corporate Insolvency Resolution process under section 9(5) of the code," it said. Luxury carmaker BMW expects its electric vehicle sales to surge over the next few years, accounting for around 30 per cent of the overall sales before 2030, driven by new products and enhanced adoption of green vehicles in the country, according to company's President and CEO Hardeep Singh Brar.
