Charlize Theron to play Megyn Kelly in Fox News film

Hollywood star Charlize Theron is in talks to play Megyn Kelly in a new Fox News movie. The presently untitled project was written by "The Big Short" screenwriter Charles Rudolph and is being produced by Annapurna, the same production company currently filming a Dick Cheney biopic starring Christian Bale, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film focuses on women who worked at Fox News under its disgraced former chairman Roger Ailes, according to multiple reports. Kelly, a former lawyer worked at Fox News for 10 years and became a superstar at the network hosting the hit series "The Kelly Files". In her memoir "Settle for More", Kelly detailed the sexual harassment she said she endured while working for Ailes. Ailes was accused of similar behaviour by numerous women at Fox News, which he flatly denied until his death in May 2017. Ailes resigned from Fox News in July 2016 and received USD 40 million in an exit agreement.

Sanjay Dutt to star in 'Prasthanam' remake

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to star in Deva Katta's cult classic 'Prasthanam' for Hindi audiences.The movie will also star Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur.Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news as he tweeted, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Sanjay Dutt, Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur... Sanjay Dutt Productions' new movie #Prasthaanam to start shoot on Nargis ji's birth anniversary... Remake of Telugu film #Prasthanam... Deva Katta, who directed the original movie, will also direct the Hindi film."'Prasthanam' will also mark the return of the Khalnayak actor to Bollywood in the capacity of a producer. His last production venture was 2011 film 'Rascals'.The movie will go on the floors on Dutt's mother, Nargis' birth anniversary, which is on June 1.' Vir Das to do two more live stand-up comedy shows for Netflix

After 'Abroad Understanding', Netflix has ordered two additinal live stand-up comedy specials from actor-comedian Vir Das. 'Abroad Understanding' debuted on Netflix in April last year and tackled nationalism, globalism, good food and bad politics in two crosscut performances in New York and New Delhi. The first of the two newly ordered specials will be shot in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom on July 14. "I love working with Netflix. They are spearheading comedy across the world right now. Every major comic I love watching is innovating on their platform. I couldn't be more excited to have a two special deal and I'm working hard on getting the show ready. "Looking forward to shooting it in a mainstream room with comedy history to it. Abroad Understanding took me to an audience across the world, I can't wait to see where this one takes me," the actor said in a statement.

Veteran actor Hemu Adhikari dies

Veteran film and theatre actor DrHemu Adhikaridied due to a lung ailment at his residence in Dadar here yesterday, family sources said. He was 81. Adhikari,known for his cameo in Rajkumar Hirani's "Lage Raho Munna Bhai" (2006),was suffering from a lung infection for the last one-and-a-half years. He acted in Sai Paranjpe's "Katha" and Marathi films like "Dhyaas Parya" and "Harishchandrachi Factory". His last rites were performed last night, the sources said. The actor is survived by wife, two daughters and a son. Noted Bollywood and Marathi film actor Sonali Kulkarni expressed her condolences on Adhikari's death. "Sad to know the demise of our dear friend, wonderful actor, sharp audience, deep thinker, passionate reader and a fearless, concerned citizen..RIP Hemukaka you'll be missed #RIP," Kulkarni tweeted.

Tabu is the latest star to join the growing cast of Salman Khan-led "Bharat". The character details are still under the wraps but director Ali Abbas Zafar has promised that Tabu will play an important role in the period drama, which also features Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover. "I've been a huge fan of Tabu's work and always wished to work with her. After several meetings with her, I'm happy it is finally happening with Bharat and am looking forward to the shoot," the 'Sultan' director said. Halle Berry to star in 'John Wick: Chapter 3'

Hollywood star Halle Berry is set to star in "John Wick: Chapter 3", featuring Keanu Reeves in the lead role. Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, and Jason Mantzoukas have also joined the cast of the movie, reported Variety. Berry will play female lead of the movie, a character named Sofia. Huston will play a figure known as The Director, while Dillon is The Adjudicator of the High Table. Dacascos is an assassin named Zero, and Mantzoukas as the Tick Tock Man. After killing a member of the shadowy international assassin's guild, the High Table, Wick is excommunicaton, but the world's most ruthless hitmen and women await his every turn. The film will be released by Lionsgate's Summit Entertainment label on May 17, 2019.
