Rajini leaves for Himalayas on annual spiritual pilgrimage
Superstar Rajinikanth today left for the Himalayas on his annual spiritual pilgrimage, saying he would be there for a minimum of 15 days. "My trip will be for a minimum for 15 days", he told reporters at the airport. He declined to take further questions. The actor has been visiting the Himalayas every year during which he usually meets spiritual leaders. This is Rajinikanth's first trip to the Himalayas after his announcement in December 31 last year that he would enter politics. Kareena Kapoor today said she does not believe that nepotism existed and that if the practice was prevalent, every star child would have gone on to become a superstar in the film industry. Hillary Clinton has warned that the Trump administration "was not recognising the danger" in discussing nuclear disarmament with Pyongyang, and said Washington lacked experienced diplomats to handle the talks. "If you want to talk to Kim Jong Un about his nuclear weapons you need experienced diplomats," Clinton was quoted as telling Dutch tabloid Algemeen Dagblad in an interview published Saturday. Bengali book fair to be held in Delhi from Monday
The 17th edition of the Bangla Boi Mela (Book Fair) and Literary Festival will be held here from Monday. According to a press release from Bengal Association, the Bengali book fair which is touted as the third largest such fair outside West Bengal -- will have more than 60 stalls, not only from West Bengal, Tripura and Delhi, but also from Bangladesh. The seven-day fair, to be held at Kali Bari in Mandir Marg from March 12-18, will host some of the famous publishers from Bengal and will be inaugurated by eminent linguist Pabitra Sarkar, the release said. The Bengal Association is celebrating its diamond jubilee. The general-secretary of Bengal Association, Tapan Sengupta, said, "Our motive is to promote Bengali literature and culture during these seven days." The fair will have two bookstalls from Bangladesh and three from Tripura, he said. Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTVTDC) would organise a 17-day "Nandi Natakostavam" from tomorrow in Kakinada in East Godavari district. APSFTVTDC General Manager M V L N Seshsai told reporters today that it was the for first time Kakinada is hosting such an event.
