Director Patty Jenkins has announced that Kristen Wiig is on board to essay the role of antagonist Cheetah in "Wonder Woman 2". The 46-year-old filmmaker took to Twitter to confirm the news. "So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It's true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family. Can't wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!! @GalGadot (sic)," Jenkins wrote, alongside Wiig's picture. The body of one young television actress was today found hanging from the ceiling of her room in her flat in southern part of the city's Reagent Park area, police said. Acting on a call from neighbours, police broke open the door of the flat of Moumita Saha (23) and found her hanging from the ceiling of a room of the flat, which she had rented for the last couple of months, they said. A suicide note was recovered from the flat where the actress was staying alone. "The house owner informed us today after the door of the flat was not opened since last afternoon," they said. A probe has been initiated into the death of the actress, who police said could be under "severe depression". "We have gone through her social networking site where her last post appeared to be written out of depression. We are going through her mobile call list," they said.

A group of Bengali intellectuals today urged President Ram Nath Kovind to take constitutional steps against Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy, for some of his recent comments on Twitter after Assembly election results were declared. In a letter addressed to Kovind, they claimed the tweets by Roy on March 6 triggered tension in Tripura and elsewhere in the country. The Madras High Court has issued a notice to the censor board on a PIL seeking removal of a scene, which allegedly denigrates women, from a recently released Tamil film. A bench of Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Abdul Quddhose issued a notice to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and JSB Film Studio, the producer of the film "Merlin" which released on February 23. The bench posted the PIL to March 16 for further hearing. Praveena Charumathi Sampathkumar, in her public interest litigation, contended that a dialogue in the scene insulted women and sought a direction to the CBFC for removing it. The woman said she was shocked to find such a dialogue in the 'U' certificate film, written and directed by Keera, adding that it amounted to showing disrespect to women. Her counsel submitted that the Cinematography Act has laid down elaborate guidelines under which women characters in any form should not be degraded and denigrated.
