Lady Gaga cut-short Joanne tour due to chronic pain
Lady Gaga has cut short her Joanne tour citing medical reasons.Her team announced on her official Instagram and Twitter account on Saturday that the singer "is suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live."She has cancelled 10 of her remaining concerts in Europe.Gaga felt miserable as she tweeted, "I'm so devastated I don't know how to describe it".The people who had bought tickets for her remaining 10 concerts could obtain the refund by February 6.The singer was scheduled to further perform in England, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and France.The tour was initially scheduled for last year but again due to bad health, the pop star had postponed it.She had mentioned about her chronic pain at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

Pak actress killed for refusing stage show
A local stage actress in Pakistan was shot dead by gunmen today after she refused to go with them for a stage show, police said. The incident occurred in Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan this evening. The actress named Sumbal was killed in her home by the gunmen. The relatives of the actress filed an FIR against three accused including a retired police officer.

Arrested woman private detective sent to four-day police custody
India's first private detective, Rajani Pandit, arrested on charges of illegally procuring call detail records (CDRs) for her clients was sent to four-day police custody here on Saturday.Pandit was arrested by Thane Crime Branch on Friday for allegedly using illegal means to procure call detail records (CDRs) for her clients at a "hefty price".Also, four more detectives have been apprehended by the police.Thane police chief Param Bir Singh said, "Pandit's role has been clearly established in the racket. Those involved in the scam, be they from any part of the country, will not be spared."Pandit, who is the daughter of a former police officer, has written two books- Faces Behind Faces and Mayajal. Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal was today conferred with V Shantaram Lifetime achievement award at the 15th Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films, here. Actor Mukesh Khanna says he has quit as chief of Children's
Actor Mukesh Khanna today said he has resigned as the chairperson of the Children's Film Society two months prior to the end of his term, alleging lack of support to take children's films to theatres and inadequate funding for the institution. However, there was no clarity whether his resignation has been accepted by the information and broadcasting ministry, under which the film society acts as an autonomous body. No immediate reaction was available from the ministry. "Yes, I have resigned. What I want to do, I am not able to do here. I want to take forward the Children's Film Society and take films to theatres. We have 260 films but they are kept in shelves. "They are sometimes shown in festivals or in schools.
