A handwritten letter by Beatles legend John Lennon will be up for sale for USD 35,000. In the note, the renowned singer has accused the EMI record label of blocking distribution on his 1968 experimental album 'Unfinished Music No 1: Two Virgins' as he appears in the nude on its cover with Yoko Ono, his then future wife. The album was one of the very initial non-Beatles LPs he made. According to FemaleFirst, an angry Lennon writes, "EMI (who have the real control) wrote warning letters to all their puppets around the world telling them not to handle it in any way." The singer's ambition was to ensure that he would not let past experiences with EMI interfere with the future. The record label also distributed The Beatles' Apple Records releases. Eventually, 'Unfinished...' which was released with brown paper-bag packaging, was distributed by another label.

Director Anees Bazmee says it would be "good" if superstar Salman Khan agrees to be a part of the sequel of "No Entry", but if he is not keen on doing it, they will have to scout for some other actor. Salman was part of the 2005 film "No Entry". Although there is a lot of buzz about the sequel of the hit comedy film, the makers are yet to make a formal announcement about the status of the project. Music composer Dominic Frontiere dies at 86
Emmy-winning music composer Dominic Frontiere, known for producing themes for shows such as "The Outer Limits" and "The Flying Nun", passed away at the age of 86. He died on December 21 in Tesuque, New Mexico, according to Variety. Frontiere's career spanned from 1960s to 1980s in both TV and films. He composed hundreds of hours of music, mostly for the small screen but also for films such as "Hang 'Em High", "Cancel My Reservation", "Hammersmith Is Out", "Freebie and the Bean" and "The Aviator". He was born on June 17, 1931, in New Haven, Connecticut, and played both violin and accordion as a youngster. Alfred Newman, who was music director at 20th Century-Fox at the time, took him under his wing after Frontiere came to Hollywood in the 1950s. Frontiere started off in the early '60s with the films "Seven Thieves", "One Foot in Hell" and "The Marriage-Go- Round". With "The Marriage...", he began a long partnership with writer-producer Leslie Stevens and they later went .

Actor Matt Damon's father, Kent has passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 74. The actor's rep confirmed the news of Kent's demise to Entertainment Weekly. Kent died on December 14, Matt's publicist told The Boston Globe. "The Martian" actor's father, who was a stockbroker, was as diagnosed with a form of plasma cell cancer called multiple myeloma in 2010. Over the past few months, Matt took a break from various public appearances due to Kent's condition.
