Fanney Khan-Race 3 clash not a concern for Aishwarya: Producer

Prerna Arora, the producer of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer "Fanne Khan", says the actor is not bothered about the release date clash with Salman Khan's "Race 3". "Fanne Khan" and "Race 3" are scheduled to be released on June 15 next year on Eid. Asked if the actor was bothered about the face-off at the box office, Prerna said, "Aishwarya is fine with the release date. It is not a concern for her." The producer said she does not mind the film releasing against "Race 3" as "Fanney Khan" is a smaller project and getting a solo release for them is a problem. "His (Salman's) is a big film, while ours is a small, sweet movie. I think we will get theatres. Right now, the problem is that we are not getting theatres. Michael Pena, Diego Luna to star in season four of 'Narcos'

Michael Pena and Diego Luna have joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season of drug drama "Narcos". Netflix confirmed the news by posting a new teaser trailer of the show on YouTube. Both Pena, 41, and Luna, 37, are attached as series regulars. However, the details of their characters are unknown yet, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The upcoming season will also shift the Colombia-set series to Mexico. "Guadalajara is not only the birthplace of mariachi and tequila, it's also the home of the newest season of 'Narcos'. Coming 2018," a tweet on the show's official account read. The first three seasons of "Narcos" focused on the rise and fall of Colombia's Cali cartel and heralded the shift of the drug wars to Mexico.

Mamata remembers eminent writer on his death anniversary

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today remembered Bengali writer, painter, violin player and composer Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury on his 102nd death anniversary. "Solemnly remembering the creator of immortal stories for children, Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury on his death anniversary," Banerjee wrote on her Twitter handle this morning. Born in 1863 in Kishoreganj, now in Bangladesh, Upendrakishore had made significant contributions in children's literature. His prominent works include "Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne", children verses in "?un?unir Boi" and translation of epics - "Chheleder Ramayon" and "Chheleder Mohabharat". Most of the illustrations in his books were done by Ray Chowdhury himself. Ray Chowdhury, the father of the eminent writer Sukumar Ray and the grandfather of renowned filmmaker Satyajit Ray, was also a leading member of the Brahmo Movement in Bengal.
