Christopher Nolan's new film is unreal: Robert Pattinson

Actor Robert Pattinson, who is set to work with Christopher Nolan in the director's next venture, has described the script of the project as "unreal". The 32-year-old actor will star alongside Elizabeth Debicki of "Widows" fame and "BlackKklansman" breakout John David Washington in the highly anticipated film from the critically-acclaimed director. In an interview with USA Today, Pattinson said he locked himself in a room to read the script. "I've been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there's just something about Chris Nolan's stuff. "He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it's unreal," the actor said. Bill Burr joins Judd Aptow's comedy project

Actor Bill Burr has joined Pete Davidson for the yet untitled comedy from Judd Aptow. A semi-autobiographical story revolving around Davidson's life, is written by Apatow, Dave Sirus and the "Saturday Night Live" star. Apatow will produce the film for his Apatow Productions alongside Barry Mendel. The film is scheduled to release on June 19, 2020.

KJ Apa to star in 'I Still Believe'

Actor KJ Apa has been roped in to to play Christian musician Jeremy Camp in Lionsgate's "I Still Believe". According to Variety, actor Gary Sinise will play his father Tom Camp in the faith-based biopic. The film will start shooting soon and will open on March 20, 2020. Brothers Jon and Andrew Erwin are directing the film. Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn have penned the script. Kevin Downes and the Erwin brothers will produce the film under their Kingdom banner. The story will focus on Camp's journey of love and loss that proves there is always hope. Camp is a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter who has sold over five million albums and has toured 36 countries. He has released four gold albums and received two American Music Awards nominations.

Andre Holland to play lead in Damien Chazelle's Netflix series 'The Eddy'

Damien Chazelle, the Oscar-winning director of "La La Land", has found the star of his Netflix series "The Eddy". According to Variety, the musical-drama show will be headlined by Andre Holland, the star of films such as "Moonlight" and "Selma". The series, set in Paris, will revolve around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them. Holland, 39, will play Elliot Udo, a celebrated jazz pianist in New York, who has now moved to Paris and is the part-owner of a failing jazz club. He has an on-again off-again relationship with his lead singer, but is emotionally stunted and is hiding from everyone. When his fifteen-year-old daughter shows up suddenly, Elliot has to face his weakness and learn to grow up. The eight-episode series marks Chazelle's foray into television arena. Michael Philip Jagger undergoes heart valve replacement

The Rolling Stones frontman Michael Philip Jagger has successfully undergone, what is being described as a "minimally invasive" heart valve replacement procedure, and is reportedly resting in an unspecified New York City hospital.According to Billboard, Jagger was given a transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). Through this procedure, doctors were able to repair the heart valve using a catheter that accesses a major artery without opening the chest.This kind of surgery will now allow Jagger to recover much faster as compared to a more conventional and invasive procedure. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will star in filmmaker Glen Barretto's road trip film, "Dusty to meet Rusty". The film choices the journey of a girl who takes a road trip from Mumbai to Dharamshala in search of her childhood sweetheart but finds love on her way. "Dusty to meet Rusty" will mark his third collaboration with producer Rajesh Bhatia and Kiran Bhatia's Woodpecker Movies after his upcoming films "Motichoor Chaknachoor" and "Bole Chudiyan". "When Nawaz heard the narration, he loved the script instantly. Its an honour to work with talent like him who brings great value to the script with his nuances and outstanding performances," Kiran said in a statement. Amy Adams will be headlining filmmaker Ron Howard's next directorial venture "Hillbilly Elegy". The project, which hails from Netflix stable, is based on the bestselling memoir of the same name by author JD Vance, the streaming giant said in a statement. The story is described as a modern exploration of the American Dream and three generations of an Appalachian family as told by its youngest member, a Yale Law student forced to return to his hometown. Howard, best known for films such as "A Beautiful Mind", "The Da Vinci Code" and "Rush", will direct the film from a script by Vanessa Taylor. The director will also produce the project alongside Brian Grazer and Karen Lunder, while Vance and Julie Oh will executive produce.

Nawaz to star, co-produce Bangladeshi filmmaker's 'No Land's Man'

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to star in Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's "No Land's Man", which he will also be co-producing. The predominantly English-language film will revolve around a tragic, strange, and at times funny journey of a South Asian man whose journey takes layered and complicated shape when he meets an Australian girl in the States, the producers said in a statement. "The most coveted script 'No Land's Man' is finally going to be made into a film. Thank you Mostofa Sarwar Farooki for the opportunity. Looking forward," Nawzuddin tweeted. "No Land's Man" won the Motion Picture Association of America and Asia Pacific Screen Awards' Script Development fund in 2014 and was part of the Asian Project Market at Busan. It was chosen as the best project at India's Film Bazaar the same year. The project is currently in pre-production stage and principal photography will commence later this year.

Irrfan starts shooting for 'Angrezi Medium' in Udaipur

Actor Irrfan Khan has commenced shooting for the much-anticipated sequel to his 2017 blockbuster "Hindi Medium". The 52-year-old actor recently returned to the country. He went abroad last year after he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour. Maddock Films, the production company behind the original film, shared on Twitter that the sequel, titled "Angrezi Medium" and to be directed by Homi Adajania, started shooting in Udaipur. "What better start to this Friday than starting something that you all have been waiting for! Google Play Artist Hub is also shutting down

Google appears to have taken spring cleaning a little too aggressively. After Google+ and Inbox, the company is also shutting down its Google Play Artist Hub at the end of this month.Google Play Artist Hub was launched in 2012 and allowed smaller indie artists to upload and sell their music through the official Google Play store and Google Play Music service.New signups are no longer accepted on the service and existing members will not be able to upload or edit their music as of April 30, The Verge reported.Artists will receive their final reports and payments from the service on May 31. By July 31, these reports will also be deleted entirely.The demise of the service arrives as Google plans to push its main music offering, YouTube Music. Google has also announced that it will eventually replace Google Play Music with YouTube Music. Artists can sell music through YouTube partners.

'PM Narendra Modi' yet to be certified, says CBFC chief

The release of 'PM Narendra Modi' has been postponed and the new release date is yet to be confirmed.Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Prasoon Joshi said the film is undergoing the due process of examination and certification."Since there are a lot of queries around the certification of the film, would like to give a clear picture.
