DMK suspends actor Radharavi for making misogynistic remarks against actor

The DMK Monday announced it was suspending well-known actor and senior party leader Radharavi for his alleged misogynistic remarks against popular South Indian actor Nayantara. His remarks at an event had created a furore, with actor Taapsee Pannu and director Vignesh Shivan hitting out at him. A video purportedly showing Radharavi making the remarks had gone viral. DMK president MK Stalin said the party was a movement that protected women's rights and that the actor's comments were not acceptable to it. In a tweet, he uploaded party general secretary K Anbazhagan's statement that Radharavi was being "suspended" for bringing disrepute to the DMK. The statement was carried in DMK mouthpiece 'Murasoli.' ) An Australian-Indian film project titled "A Bride of Aravan" has managed to raise over USD 7,000 on a crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by an Australian government supported MATCH Lab initiative. Larry Cohen, best known for directing cult horror films --- "It's Alive", "Gold Told Me To" and "The Stuff"-- has died at the age of 77. The news of his demise was shared on his official Facebook page. "The entire #KingCohen team mourns the loss of its star, hero and King, #LarryCohen. His unparalleled talents were surpassed only by his giant heart. The impact he made on television and cinema will be felt forever, and our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends and fans," the post read. 'Runaways' renewed for season 3

Streaming network Hulu has renewed Marvel drama "Runaways" for a third season. The news was first shared on Sunday by actor James Marsters and was later confirmed by the streamer. According to the Hollywood Reporter, season three will consist of 10 episodes. "We are so excited to tell more 'Runaways' stories and are so grateful to Marvel, Hulu, our amazing cast and crew and of course our passionate audience. "Season three will be a magical time on 'Runaways', as we deepen our connection to the Marvel universe. "Pose" creator Ryan Murphy has announced that Broadway legend Patti LuPone is set to guest star in the upcoming second season of the FX drama. Murphy also revealed that in season two, the series will jump from 1980s to 1990s. "We've come up with this great role for Patti LuPone.
