Actor Shraddha Kapoor has exited the biopic of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal and Parineeti Chopra has been announced as her replacement. The biopic, titled "Saina", will be directed by Amol Gupte, who has helmed movies such as "Stanley Ka Dabba" and "Hawa Hawaai". The film went on floors in September last year. The prequel film to hit HBO series "The Sopranos" has been officially given a release date. The film, titled "Newark", will release in the theatres in the US on September 25, 2020, reported Variety. It was earlier given the title "The Many Saints of Newark". The project is being directed by Alan Taylor from a script by show creator David Chase and Lawrence Konner. The film, set against the backdrop of the Newark riots of the 1960s when African-Americans and Italians clashed, will feature an ensemble cast of Alessandro Nivola, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, Billy Magnussen, Corey Stoll, and Ray Liotta. Filmmaker Onir said Thursday that male actors in Bollywood are still insecure about playing gay roles. The director said a film based on LGBTQ characters can get a mainstream release but "good actors" avoid such roles. "I have had many narrations with these mainstream male actors and they refused it. The fear of what it can become still holds them.
