Terry Crews, Leslie Mann to announce Golden Globe nominations

'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star Terry Crews and Danai Gurira (Black Panther) are the presenters for this year's Golden Globe nominations.Apart from them, Leslie Mann (Blockers) and Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) have also been tapped to announce the honorees for the 76th annual awards, reports Variety.The nominees for the 25 categories will be revealed during a press conference on Thursday. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) will livestream the 2019 Golden Globe nominations from the official Golden Globes Facebook page as well as the Golden Globes website.The ceremony recognises excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign. Set to take place on January 6, 2019, it will air live from the Beverly Hilton. While Seth Meyers hosted the 2018 ceremony, a host for this year's telecast has not been announced yet.

Craig Gillespie to direct Emma Stone starrer 'Cruella'?

Australian film director Craig Gillespie is in talks to direct the live-action 'Cruella,' with Emma Stone playing the protagonist, who covets the furs of the 101 Dalmation pups to provide herself a perfect coat.Set in the early 1980s, Stone will portray the role of infamous fashionista villain Cruella De Vil, who hates dogs. De Vil was first seen in the 1961 animated classic '101 Dalmatians.'According to Deadline, American writer Alex Timbers was on board to direct the project, but the 'Mozart of the Jungle' co-creator ran into scheduling issues and dropped this project. Timbers, who is also a theater director, has two major productions next year.Famously known for directing the Tonya Harding biopic, 'I, Tonya', Gillespie has also helmed movies like 'The Finest Hours', 'Million Dollar Ar,' Fright Night remake, and 'Lars and the Real Girl.

Emma Stone to play Cruella, 'I, Tonya' director in early talks to helm

Emma Stone is set to star in Disney's live-action take on Cruella de Vil, the antagonist from "101 Dalmatians". According to The Hollywood Reporter, "I, Tonya" director Craig Gillespie is in early negotiations to helm "Cruella". Stone will play the infamous villain in what is being billed as an origin story, set in the early 1980s with a punk vibe. Hollywood veteran Glenn Close famously portrayed the role of the maniacal, notorious, fur-loving dog-hating head of a fashion house who would go to any lengths to get hold of more and more Dalmatian fur in "101 Dalmatians" and "102 Dalmatians". Prior to Gillespie, Alex Timbers was on board to direct the project, the deal could not go through due to scheduling issues. Andrew Gunn is producing "Cruella" with Marc Platt and Kristin Burr.

The couple, who last worked on Netflix's hit horror series "The Haunting of Hill House", welcomed their second child on December 3. Flanagan took to Twitter to share the news and revealed that they have named their little one, Theodora after the character Siegel plays in the 10-episode series. "Today, Kate and I welcomed our daughter, Theodora Isabelle Irene Flanagan, into the world. Mom and baby are both fantastic, tired, and so, so happy," the director tweeted. The duo, who married in 2016, also share son, Cody (two).

Kevin Hart is all set to host the 91st Academy Awards ceremony. The actor-comic took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce that he has been selected to host the Oscars next year. This will be Hart's first attempt at emceeing the annual awards night. "For years I have been asked if I would ever host the Oscars and my answer was always the same... But one classic holiday song is proving too controversial for some stations in the wake of the #MeToo movement. "Baby, It's Cold Outside" -- a duet written in 1944 and performed over the years by scores of artists, including Dean Martin, Dolly Parton, Ray Charles and Lady Gaga -- has turned into a hot potato for broadcasters, some of which have yanked the popular song on grounds the lyrics are predatory toward women.
