British-Indian actor Banita Sandhu, who made her debut with "October", says she does not want to limit herself to a particular genre. The 20-year-old actor says she enjoys commercial cinema and she wants to be associated with good content. "I don't want to box myself into anything. I have done 'October' and I am super happy. I want to be versatile and work with different creative people. If it is a massy film, great or if it is going to be independent film with first time director, that also will be great. Marvel Studios developing 'Shang-Chi' film

Marvel Studios is developing a movie about its Shang-Chi martial arts superhero and has set "Wonder Woman 1984" writer Dave Callaham to pen the screenplay. According to Deadline, the project would act as the superhero studio's first stand-alone movie with an Asian lead. A director is not yet attached. Shang-Chi, the Master of Kung Fu, debuted in 1973's Special Marvel Edition No 15, created by Steve Englehart and Thanos creator Jim Starlin after an attempt to acquire the comic book rights to the television series "Kung Fu" fell through. The son of infamous pulp villain Fu Manchu, Shang-Chi was trained as a martial artist assassin by his father, only to rebel against him and become a superhero instead. The character was a massive success through the 1970s, and was recently revived as a member of the Avengers during 2012's Marvel Now! Publishing event. Shang-Chi has also made guest appearances in other titles such as "Marvel Team-Up", "Marvel Knights" and "X-Men".

Universal working on film inspired by Prince's music

Universal Pictures is developing an original musical film inspired by legendary singer Prince's music. For the film, the studio has acquired the rights to a number of classic songs from the late singer's catalog, reported Variety. According to sources, the film is not a biopic but an original fictional story with Prince's classic songs driving the plotline. Atom Factory's Troy Carter, the entertainment advisor of Prince's estate will executive produce alongside Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group, the exclusive worldwide publishing administrator for Prince's catalog. Prince won eight Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award for the 1984 film "Purple Rain". He sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artistes of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Sanjay Dutt, Aayush Sharma to team up for gangster film

Sanjay Dutt and Aayush Sharma are set to collaborate for for a gangster film. Dutt was last seen in "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3", while Aayush made his acting debut with "Loveyatri". "The film is loosely inspired by the underworld and an era of its rise and fall. Since it's a high octane action film, we could think of no one better than the legendary Sanjay Dutt. "Aayush Sharma seems promising and has great screen presence. We were both keen on working with each other," producer Prerna Arora told PTI. Formalities with both the actors are underway. An official announcement will be made soon. The film will be jointly produced by Prerna under the banner Five Studio Five Elements and choreographer-filmmaker Ahmed Khan. "Glee" alum Lea Michele says it would be difficult to recreate the magic of the musical comedy-drama TV series. The nominations announcement for the 61st Grammy Awards has been postponed for two days in lieu of former United States (US) president George H.W. Bush's memorial service.The funeral service for the 41st president - who died last week aged 94 - will take place at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.The nominees, therefore, will now be announced on December 7, instead of December 5, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Earlier this year, the Recording Academy announced several changes to the nominations process including the amount of nominees for the 'General Field' categories (record of the year, song of the year, album of the year, and best new artist) - which will increase from five to eight.According to the announcement, "This change will better reflect the large number of entries in these categories and allow voters greater flexibility when selecting this year's best recordings."The upcoming Grammys will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 10, 2019.

A South Korean boy band, MONT, is set to perform for the first time in India on Tuesday, during the ongoing Hornbill International Music Festival (HIMF), organisers said on Monday. The Korean band members have arrived at Dimapur, the media coordinator of HIMF, Kallol Dey, said. Boney M and Kailash Kher performed in 2017 and this year it would be a treat for Korean Pop fans with the MONT set to take centre stage on December 4, he said.
