"Harry Potter" actor Evanna Lynch is excited to see Jude Law's take on the future Hogwarts headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, in "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald". Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood in the original "Harry Potter" films, says Law is perfect as the "manipulative" Dumbledore. "He is so perfect as Dumbledore. He totally captures that serenity, that inner peace. He captures the manipulative side of Dumbledore. "Dumbledore's a kind person he's nice. He's not manipulative in an evil way. He wants to get people on his side, fighting for the right thing. You see that in book six, and that's really shown more, explored more, in this movie. From what I've seen, I think he's perfect," Lynch told The Hollywood Reporter. "Crimes of Grindelwald" is not only a sequel to the first "Fantastic Beasts" installment, but is also a prequel to the original Potter saga. Written by author J K Rowling and directed by David Yates, the film will explore the backstories of Dumbledore and ...
"The Lion King" is one of the most iconic Disney movies and continues to be a fan favourite but Rowan Atkinson has revealed he was initially not willing to be the voice of Zazu, Mufasa's right-hand hornbill. tkinson said he always considered himself a visual artiste and never found doing voiceover interesting. "I didn't want to do it, really, because voiceovers, voice work is something I generally had never done and never liked. I'm a visual artiste, if I'm anything, and it seemed to be a pointless thing to do," Atkinson said on the latest episode of PeopleTV's Couch Surfing. "Mr. Bean" co-writer Robin Driscoll was the one to convince Atkinson to give voice acting a try. "I didn't realize it would turn into a really, very special film, which it did," Atkinson said adding how proud he now is to be a part of such an enduring classic. Disney is currently working on the live-action remake of the 1994 film and John Oliver will voice Zazu in the remake. The film is scheduled to release next
Naseeruddin Shah believes cinema serves as a record of times and he would not want the audience to look back at 2018 as the phase of only one kind of cinema, case in point "Salman Khan films". The veteran actor says cinema is for posterity and hence he takes it as his responsibility to do as many socially relevant films as possible. "I feel that cinema can't change society or bring a revolution. I'm also not sure of cinema as a medium of education. Documentaries can be educative, not feature films. People see them and forget. The only serious function films can serve is to act as a record of their times," Shah told PTI. The actor says it's for this reason that he chose to work in movies like "A Wednesday" or his recent short film, "Rogan Josh", set in the aftermath of 26/11 attacks. "I consider it my responsibility to take part in such films. All my serious works are a representative of their times. Cinema will survive. These films would be seen 200 years later. "People should know ...

Turns out, the secret to making better batteries lies in using carbon nanotubes.A research led by Rice University scientists, that was published in Advanced Materials journal, confirmed the benefits of using carbon nanotubes. They found out that films of carbon nanotubes make high-powered, fast-charging lithium metal batteries, which is a worthy replacement for the commonly used lithium-ion batteries.Lead researcher James Tour said that nanotube films effectively stops dendrites that grow from unprotected lithium metal anodes in batteries, and over time, can pierce the battery's electrolyte core and reach the cathode, eventually resulting in a battery failure. The good thing about Lithium metal is that it charges much faster and holds 10 times more energy by volume than the lithium-ion electrodes."One of the ways to slow dendrites in lithium-ion batteries is to limit how fast they charge," Tour said. He further mentioned that a coat of lithium metal foiled with a multiwalled carbon ...
