Matt Smith to join 'Star Wars: Episode IX'
Matt Smith has reportedly been cast in an unspecified role in "Star Wars: Episode XI". Sources have confirmed to EW that "The Crown" star will play a "key role" in the JJ Abrams-directed film, not just a cameo. Smith, who received an Emmy nomination for playing Prince Philip in the Netflix royal drama, also played the 11th incarnation in UK sci-fi series "Doctor Who". Other cast members include Keri Russell and Dominic Monaghan. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver are expected to return. "Episode XI" is currently shooting in England and is slated to release on December 19.

Australian actor Damon Herriman has been signed on to play Charles Manson in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". The 48-year-old actor, who had a recurring role on FX's "Justified", will play the cult leader of the quasi-commune Manson Family in the film, EW has confirmed. The film, which features Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in lead roles, also stars Maya Hawke, the daughter of "Kill Bill" and "Pulp Fiction" star Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, Austin Butler and Lorenza Izzo. The story is set in Los Angeles in 1969 and follows Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), the former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Pitt), who are struggling to make it in Hollywood. Rick has a famous next-door neighbour: Sharon Tate (Robbie). Polish actor Rafal Zawierucha has been cast as Roman Polanski. The star-studded cast also includes names like Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis, James Marsden, Luke Perry and Lena Dunham. The film is slated .

The remake of 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels', 'The Hustle', starring American actors Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson will be rated PG-13 for crude sexual content and language.The film had previously been given an R-rating, which later successfully overturned the rating to earn PG-13 by the Classification and Rating Appeals Board.The American comedy film, which is directed by Chris Addison and written by Jac Schaeffer, will see two con women who bet to take down a billionaire.Also starring Alex Sharp and Ingrid Oliver, the flick is scheduled to release on May 10 this year.Apart from 'The Hustle', Hathway will appear in 'The Last Thing He Wanted', directed by Dee Rees and in a live-action film adaptation of the Barbie film series.On the other hand, Wilson, who is also producing 'The Hustle will star in the comedy 'Isn't it Romantic' due for release in 2019 and in Taika Waititi's dark comedy-drama 'Jojo Rabbit' as Fraulein Rahm.

ATS sees bigger conspiracy behind Padmaavat theatre attack
Mumbai [Maharashtra], Aug 28 (ANI): A Mumbai court on Tuesday sent four persons arrested by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) to one-week police custody. During the hearing, the ATS informed the court that these four accused were part of a group that carried out bomb blasts outside cinema halls in Kalyan in Maharashtra and Belgaum in Karnataka during the screening of the movie Padmaavat.The four accused -- Sharad Kalaskar, Vaibhav Raut, Sudhanawa Gondhalekar and Shrikant Pangarkar -- have been sent to ATS custody till September 3. Besides, a fifth accused, Avinash Pawar, who was arrested from Mumbai's Ghatkopar on August 25, has already been sent to ATS custody till August 31.ATS informed the court that the accused arrested by the agency from various places of Maharashtra are part of a larger conspiracy and the case is not just about recovery of some explosives and ammunition from their possession. ATS also informed the court that these accused were part of the conspiracy ..
