Asia Argento removed from 'X Factor Italy'

Actor Asia Argento will no more judge the reality TV show 'X Factor Italy'. This comes after she came into news for allegedly sexually harassing a actor Jimmy Bennet.The Italian actor has denied the reports of sexually assaulting 17-year-old Bennet. However, she did agreed that her late boyfriend Anthony Bourdain paid USD 380,000 as a settlement.Variety reported that Italian media houses, who are producing the reality TV show decided to pull Argento from the show. However, she will be seen in the first few episodes that were shot earlier.Argento's ex-husband, Italian pop star Morgan, will reportedly replace her in the show.Meanwhile, Argento was one of the first women to raise her voice against Hollywood's disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct.

'30 Greatest Hits' becomes Aretha's highest-charting album in 50 years

'Queen of Soul' Aretha Franklin's '30 Greatest Hits' became her highest-charting album in 50 years, as it climbed to the seventh position on the Billboard 200 albums chart.'30 Greatest Hits' is Franklin's highest charting album since August 31, 1968.Following her death on August 16, the compilation album re-entered the Billboard list at No. 7.Earlier, her album 'Amazing Grace' reached No. 7 back in 1972. Franklin's albums 'I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You' (1967) and 'Aretha: Lady Soul' (1968) are the only albums to reach the No. 2 spot twice.'30 Greatest Hits', which was released way back in 1985, did not appear in the chart until 2012 when it peaked at No. 117.Franklin passed away at the age of 76 following a prolonged illness on August 16 at her residence in Detroit.She was suffering from pancreatic cancer and was in a grave condition from last few years. The singer is well known for hits like 'Respect', 'Natural Women', and 'I say a little prayer'.

TV actress Kaley Cuoco got nostalgic as she took to social media to share a throwback picture from the heydays of 'The Big Bang Theory'.Taking to her Instagram account, the 32-year-old actor shared a picture wherein she could be seen kissing her current husband Karl Cook, who happened to pay a visit to the sets of 'The Big Bang Theory' for the first time.She captioned the post, "#fbf that time my guy made his first official @bigbangtheory_cbs set visit," she wrote.In a heartfelt reply, her husband expressed his happiness and was glad to see the post.Cuoco got married to Cook June 30 this year. PCI urges print media to include Andaman & Nicobar islands in coverage

The Press Council of India has urged the print media to include Andaman and Nicobar Islands in all weather forecasts and other similar generic topics, where countrywide coverage is involved. The Press Council of India's advice came after it received a reference from the lieutenant governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands expressing concern over its exclusion by print media while extending countrywide coverage to generic topics, such as weather forecast etc. "The print media plays a vital role as mass communicator to provide quality coverage on various matters. "Thus, in keeping with its objections, all publication houses are requested to consider to include A&N Islands as well, in all their weather forecasts and other similar generic topics, where countrywide coverage is being discussed," the Press Council of India said in a statement.

'Ant-Man and the Wasp' earns 71 million USD globally

Hollywood movie 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' ruled the roost at the Global box office this weekend, with a majority of its earnings coming from China.Ove the weekend, the Marvel superhero movie earned 71 million USD worldwide, out of which 68 million USD was earned from its China debut, reported Variety.The total worldwide earnings of the film came from 28 markets.Till date, the worldwide earnings for the Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly starrer superhero sequel stands at 544 million USD. Fate of Priya cinema hall in Kolkata hangs fire

The fate of iconic Priya cinema hall in south Kolkata, where a fire had broken out recently, continues to hang in balance with the owner today saying that he was unsure if the building would be used as a single-screen theatre or for some other business activity. Arijit Dutta, the owner of Priya Entertainments, said he was flooded with requests to reopen the theatre. "All my family members and friends want me to re-open the 60-year-old theatre as public sentiment is involved with Priya Cinema. The single-screen theatre had witnessed special screenings of many cult Bengali films in the past few decades. I am yet to take a call on the matter," he said.
