Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas are reportedly engaged after two months of dating. According to People magazine, Jonas popped the question on Priyanka's 36th birthday in London. Jonas closed down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy an engagement ring, according to a source. "They are so happy... Aware of criticism around 'Dhadak', says Shashank Khaitan

Basking in the success of "Dhadak", director Shashank Khaitan says he did not brush aside the the caste angle of Marathi film"Sairat", but still he is aware about the criticism and promises to be more sensitive towards such subjects. "Dhadak" has done good business, but is being panned for whitewashing the caste politics, which was at the central theme of its source material. Akshay Kumar confirms script issues behind his exit from Gulshan Kumar biopic

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar today confirmed that he walked out of Gulshan Kumar's biopic "Mogul" because of differences over the script. Aamir Khan is producing the biopic with Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. Akshay was finalised last year to play the role of Kumar in the biopic and his look for the film was also unveiled. But there were reports that the actor had walked out of the film. "No I am not part of it. I am not doing it," Akshay said in an interview when asked about the status of "Mogul". "Script pe humari thodi baat.. (We did not agree on the script)," he added. Rajinikanth's "2.0", where Akshay is in the role of the antagonist, is all set to release on November 29 this year after some delay. Abu Salem sends legal notice to 'Sanju' makers for 'defamatory' remarks

Gangster Abu Salem, serving a life sentence in the 1993 bomb blasts case, has sent a legal notice to the makers of "Sanju" over what he claimed to be "malicious" and "defamatory" remarks made against him in the film based on Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's life. The notice was sent recently by his lawyer Prashant Pandey to "Sanju" director Rajkumar Hirani, co-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, besides production houses the Rajkumar Hirani Films, Vinod Chopra Films and Fox Star Studio. The notice alleged that "baseless, malicious and defamatory remarks" have been made against the extradited gangster in Dutt's biographical film that features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. HC seeks CBFC response on IMPPA's plea over movie subtitles

The Bombay High Court today asked the CBFC to file an affidavit in response to a plea filed by the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA), challenging the former's direction to submit subtitles of movies for censorship. The IMPAA had approached the high court earlier this month claiming that the new rule introduced by the Central Film Certification Board (CBFC) was arbitrary. On April 27, the association received a notice from the CBFC, which said the producers of a film are required to obtain a separate censorship certificate for the film's subtitles. "As per the notice, the producers have to first obtain a certificate for the movie and thereafter when subtitling is done by any producer in a different language, they are also required to obtain fresh censorship from the CBFC," the petition said. Cody Fern joins cast of 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse'

Actor Cody Fern has joined the cast of season eight of FX's horror anthology series "American Horror Story". Fern, who most recently appeared in "American Crime Story: Versace", joins Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates in the eighth season, which has been titled "Apocalypse".
