FM Sitharaman to launch 'Mera Bill Mera Adhikar' scheme on Sep 1: Chautala

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will launch the Mera Bill-Mera Adhikar Scheme from Gurugram on September 1, Haryana's Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said on Wednesday. She will launch this scheme in a programme to be organised in Sector 15 of Gurugram, the JJP leader said, as per an official statement. Chautala said that under this scheme, the consumers will have to upload the receipt of the purchase of the goods on a portal. He said that consumers will also get rewards through the corpus fund of Rs 30 crore, through a draw system. He said that this scheme will play an important role for GST collection as more and more people will be motivated to collect GST bills. Dushyant Chautala said that the Mera Bill-Mera Adhikar scheme will develop the tendency among consumers to demand the bill from the seller while purchasing goods. Avg rent in Gururgram increases by 28% annually in Jan-Jun: Savilis

The average monthly rental for premium housing rose 28 per cent year-on-year in Gurugram during the January-June period of this year on higher demand, limited supply and appreciation in capital values, according to Savills India. In Gurugram, the "average rentals witnessed an increase of 28 per cent YOY (year-on-year) across all markets. GCER (Golf Course Extension Road & SPR (southern peripheral road) and Golf Course Road saw the highest rise in rentals with 33 per cent and 31 per cent YOY growth, respectively," real estate consultant Savills said in its report. As per the report, the average quoted rentals are for 3BHK and 4BHK apartments on Golf Course Road and 3-BHK apartments in other micro markets. Mazar targeted, prayer material burnt in village in Gurugram: Police

A group of unidentified men allegedly started a fire in a mazar at a village in Gurugram in the early hours of Monday, police said. The caretaker of the shrine, visited by both Muslims and Hindus, said some prayer material was burnt in the fire before it was brought under control by local people. The incident happened when prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrpC were still in force in Gurugram in view of the communal clashes that began in the neighbouring Nuh district and spread to parts of the city and nearby areas last week. Gurugram-Nuh violence: Authorities assure migrant workers of safety

In a bid to stop the exodus of migrant workers from the city, district authorities Saturday visited a few slum areas and urged the labourers to go for their daily work without any fear. Number of workers started fleeing to their native places in different states in view of violence that flared up here and in Nuh earlier in the week. Gurgugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav Saturday visited the slums near Sector 58 and 70 here as part of the ongoing exercise to build confidence among common people about their safety, along with maintaining law and order. Demolition in Nuh continues, illegal structures on 2.6 acres of land razed

The demolition drive in violence-hit Nuh district of Haryana continued for the third day on Saturday as authorities bulldozed illegal constructions on 2.6 acres of land around Nalhar Medical College in the state. Around 15 other temporary structures were also demolished as part of the drive, police said. These were illegal constructions. Notices were already given to owners of the demolished structures. The owners of some illegal structures were also involved in the violence during the Braj Mandal religious yatra. The demolition drive will continue," Sub Divisional Magistrate Ashwani Kumar said. Haryana violence: 3 motorcycles set on fire in Pataudi area, says police

Three motorcycles were set on fire on Thursday night in Pataudi area here, police said. The motorcycles were parked outside Rashid Auto Works near Chungi no. 4 while a mechanic was sleeping inside the shop. Firefighters doused the flames and rescued the mechanic, police said. Sporadic incidents of arson have been reported from Pataudi since Monday after violence broke out in the adjoining Nuh district over an attempt to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession. Six people, including two home guards and a cleric, have died in the clashes that spread to Gurugram and other districts of the state over the past few days. Realty firm Godrej Properties on Wednesday said its board has approved Rs 155 crore for repair work in its completed housing project 'Godrej Summit' at Gurugram, in Haryana after chloride was found in concretes used in the buildings. The Delhi Police enhanced patrolling in the national capital on Tuesday after an alert was sounded following communal clashes in Gurugram and adjoining areas in Haryana, officials said. In fresh violence, eatery set on fire in Gurugram, shops vandalised

A mob set fire to an eatery and vandalised adjoining shops in Gurugram's Badshahpur on Tuesday afternoon, in a fresh case of communal violence after the previous day's attack on a VHP procession in adjoining Nuh district. A fire brigade team reached the spot and controlled the blaze, police said. The mob ransacked some shops belonging to a particular community and also chanted "Jai Shri Ram" in front of a mosque in Badshahpur. The Badshahpur market was also shut down, police said. After getting information about the fresh violence, police reached the spot but the rioters managed to flee on their bikes and other vehicles by then, officials said, adding some suspects have been detained.
