Gurugram Police personnel illegally occupying EWS flats asked to vacate

Some Gurugram Police personnel, allegedly living in an unauthorized manner in flats meant for people belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) here, have been asked to vacate the premises by Thursday evening, police said. The flats are located in Belvedere Park DLF Phase-3. It happened only after an EWS flat resident of the society filed a complaint to CM window through her lawyer against some cops residing in about 10 flats there. According to the complaint filed by EWS flat number 106 owner- Kailash Devi who filed a complaint through her lawyer at CM window that out of 90 EWS flats only 42 flats were allotted by the builder in 2009. The remaining flats were still not allotted to any where some cops were living in an unauthorized manner for a long time. Govt bulldozed 3 illegal colonies in Gurugram on receiving complaint

Authorities carried out a drive on Wednesday and demolished three illegal colonies here, officials said. The team used a JCB machine to demolish illegal constructions, boundary walls of four plots among other structures, they said. District Town Planner (Enforcement) Amit Madholia said these illegal colonies had come up in Farrukhnagar, Mubarikpur and Taj Nagar. The department had received a complaint which was investigated, he said. "After probing the matter, the complaint was found to be true following which notices were also issued to those who developed these colonies illegally. "They were instructed to remove the illegal constructions but even after issuing them notices, when these structures were not removed, the department's team demolished the three illegal colonies spread over five-and-a-half acres. The drive against the illegal construction will be continue," said Madholia said.

Haryana CM Khattar launches 'smart e-beat' system for Gurugram police

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Monday launched an app-based system for police attendance and real time monitoring of patrolling by personnel in Gurugram. The CM launched the 'Smart E-Beat' system at an event at the office of Commissioner of Police here and flagged off 119 motorcycle police riders connected with it. Khattar said this app-based system has been introduced in Gurugram under the 'Smart Policing Initiative' (SPI) and it will help these policemen to mark their attendance, and in monitoring of their rides. This also means the beat system has been digitised, he said. Khattar said till now the policemen deployed at the beat used to mark their attendance manually and there was no system of their monitoring. Automaker Nissan Motor India on Monday said it has inaugurated its new corporate headquarters in Gurugram. The facility will house key functions, including sales, marketing, aftersales, finance, human resources and corporate communications, among others. "This new office fuels an atmosphere of positivity, innovation and teamwork. Nissan India's new office will continue to build on our philosophy of people first and encourage our employees to foster ideas that drive innovation," Nissan India President Frank Torres said in a statement. Nissan Motor India Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava said the company's new corporate headquarters will help in creating an ecosystem to build the business in a new age environment of flexible workplaces conducive to growth of people and ideas.
