Stalin was admitted to the hospital late last night, a press statement from Apollo Hospitals here said. "He underwent a minor surgical procedure for the removal of a cyst from his right thigh. Finger angiography is a "novel technique" of the procedure through the thumb artery which is less time-consuming, less painful and patient-friendly, a city-based hospital claimed on Wednesday. At a press conference held here, cardiologist Tapan Ghose and two of his patients shared their experiences about this technique vis-a-vis the traditional mode of conducting angiography. An angiography is a medical imaging technique used to visualise the inside of blood vessels and organs of the body, with particular interest in the arteries, veins, and the heart chambers. Coronary angiography is used to remove blockages from the heart. "Traditionally, angiographies are performed through the wrist or groin. A pre-induction trial of India's indigenously developed beyond visual range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM) 'Astra' was successfully conducted Wednesday over Bay of Bengal near Chandipur in Odisha, defence sources said. The missile was fired from a fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force in the afternoon and targeted an unmanned aerial vehicle 'Banshi' which it successfully engaged, the sources said. 'Astra' was successfully test fired by the IAF from a Su-30 aircraft that had taken off from Air Force station, Kalaikunda, a defence statement said. The missile successfully engaged a maneuvering target with high precision, meeting the mission objectives, it said. The statement said, "In the series of trials held to date, Astra has been launched in the complete Su-30 flight envelope. The research, published in the BMJ, explored the impact of aspects of physical health, such as body weight, heart health and blood pressure, to see whether a wide age range of individuals with poorer physical health went on to be less happy and less satisfied with their lives.
