Hero MotoCorp's corporate communication head Bharatendu Kabi resigns

Hero MotoCorp on Friday said Head of Corporate Communication & Corporate Social Responsibility Bharatendu Kabi has resigned from the company. In a regulatory filing, Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said Kabi has decided to step down from his role after nearly two decades of service with the company. "His strategic guidance has been instrumental, especially during critical moments like the separation from our former joint venture partner Honda in 2010-11," he stated. Kabi's contributions have played a significant role in strengthening the company's brand presence, Gupta said. His last day with the company will be July 31, 2024, he added.

Hero MotoCorp to expand electric model range to increase customer base

Hero MotoCorp is looking to expand its presence in the electric two-wheeler segment as it aims to introduce new models below its current range to cater to a broader set of customers, as per a senior company official. The country's largest two-wheeler maker currently sells two electric scooters under its Vida range, priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh. "We are expanding our portfolio in the first half of this year (current fiscal)..into the mid and the mass segment as well," Hero MotoCorp Chief Business Officer - Emerging Mobility BU Swadesh Srivastava said in an analyst call. With new product introductions this fiscal, the company is going to be able to play in each of the three segments of premium, mid and mass, he noted. "With this, we are looking at significant growth within this year. And we are also looking to improve our cost structures," he said. Hero MotoCorp joins ONDC to enhance reach, ease accessibility for customers

Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp on Monday said it has joined the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to enhance reach and convenience and provide an easily accessible digital mode to customers. The open network will initially offer two-wheeler parts, accessories and merchandise. Hero MotoCorp Q4 results: Profit after tax up 16.7% at Rs 943.46 crore

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp Ltd on Wednesday reported a 16.7 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 943.46 crore in the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2024, riding on higher sales. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 810.8 crore in the same period a year ago, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 9,616.68 crore as against Rs 8,434.28 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 13.92 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in Q4 FY24 as against 12.70 lakh units in Q4 FY23. Total expenses were higher at Rs 8,427.36 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 7,508.94 crore in the same period a year ago. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, consolidated profit after tax was at Rs 3,742.16 crore as compared to Rs 2.799.9 crore in the previous fiscal. Consolidated revenue from operations for FY24 stood at Rs 37,788.

Hero MotoCorp receives Rs 605 crore tax demand notice from I-T dept

The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday said it has received demand notices from the Income Tax department for around Rs 605 crore, including interest, for six assessment years. On April 3, 2024, the company received assessment orders/ demand notices dated March 30, 2024, pertaining to six assessment years from the Income Tax department, the company said in a regulatory filing. The two-wheeler major is examining the orders/ notices received and shall take appropriate steps, including the filing of appeals and rectification applications, it added. The notice pertains to six assessment years, amounting to a tax demand of Rs 308.65 crore and interest thereon of Rs 296.22 crore, Hero MotoCorp said. This is on account of certain disallowances, for the assessment years 2013-14 to 2017-18 and 2019-20, it added.
