Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Jorhat on Friday night for a three-day visit to the Northeastern state and Mizoram. Briefing reporters, Sarma said soon after arriving in Jorhat, Shah will travel to Dergaon in Golaghat district, where he will spend the night at the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy. Spanning over 6 lakh sq ft, the plant, being developed in collaboration with RCPL's local partner Jericho, is among the largest beverage manufacturing units in the Northeast.
